Re: Battlefield V Ray Tracing Performance on GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

Have you tried it on anything higher than LOW just to see what happens? Maybe more if the tree tearing? I remember doing ray tracing on a 486DX50 and taking days for 1 picture, now it is real time.....wow I hate to spend another few hours testing it with the first driver/patch/windows release. NVID...

When the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards were announced in August 2018 they promised to bring real-time ray tracing to PC games. After some unfortunate delays along the way we finally have the hardware and software to play Battlefield V with DICE’s DirectX Raytracing (DXR) reflections te...

AMD introduced the Polaris GPU architecture with the introduction of the Radeon RX 400 series in July 2016. They then ‘refined’ Polaris and launched the Radeon RX 500 series in April 2017. AMD must really like Polaris as here we are in November 2018 and they are bringing the AMD Radeon RX 590 to mar...

Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Talked with APC a bit and they are game for sending some models out for review. Thinking about going with the BR1500MS for the office as it has some nice features like SineWave and USB Type-C charge ports. It's 900W and runs just under $190 on Amazon . Then I'm also going to ask for BE600M1 as I thi...

Toshiba XG6 1TB NVMe SSD Review Featuring 96-layer 3D TLC NAND

Today we are going to take a quick look at the Toshiba XG6, which is a mainstream PCIe NVMe series of SSDs that is aimed at the OEM market. We generally don’t review OEM SSDs since they can’t be purchased in the retail market, but we are making an exception for this drive. The Toshiba XG6 is the fir...

Re: New system

Do you know what those are even measuring? Those look like random board temperature points. Likely VRM or something. Might want to e-mail Gigabyte with a full report from the application and ask what the temperature readings are actually measuring. That board has "Smart Fan 5 features 5 Tempera...

Wow, those are pretty good prices at Best Buy for the 650VA. Amazon wants $74 and Walmart wants $72.

techbatterysolutions.com Wants $31 shipped for a new battery... So, $31 to put a new battery in or ~$70 after tax to buy a new model... ugh

Re: New system

Not trying to be a dick...

Have you counted standoffs and made sure there is a screw used for each? Some cases have standoffs in locations not drilled out on the board.

Also, I'm offering again to send you out a brand new board in the box if you'd like to try a second board.

APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Anyone bought a UPS lately? I have an APC Back-UPS 550 that I bought roughly 7 years ago that has a failing battery (came home today to the alarm sounding). I don't feel like sinking ~$50 into it for a battery as I only paid about $80 for it new. I see the new UPS models have "Pure Sinewave&quo...

nice! I wish they would start to include the ability to add a gpu line on. I never understood why they dont sell them with a splitter or even dual pumps and have a code inside that you can order the gpu block you need. Seems like a win win for everyone involved as I imagine most people that would b...
