Re: Stupid Lesson Learned
1) No matter how hard you pull on that card, if it's screwed in, then it's probably not coming out. And if it does come out, chances are it's only parts of said card. 2) If you hook up the power to a floppy drive and it's off a pin there's a good chance the factory smoke will get out and cables will...

Now where's the option for them attacking themselves? They aren't really known for missile accuracy.

Re: Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse Review
The G600 has a completely different shape from the G5. However, the G600 is still characteristically Logitech and has form closer to that of the M705 Marathon Mouse. The Naga is considerably "taller" at 1.81 inches versus the G600's 1.5 inches. Thanks for that, I'll have to find one and g...

Re: Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse Review
Good review, thanks. I have the Razer Naga mentioned and while it worked okay for me with WoW and Rift it was horrible when playing Diablo 3. I developed a funky hand pain about a week into playing D3 and had to go back to a Logitech G5 v2 (still my favorite mouse to date). I saw this G600 a short w...

Re: Samsung 840 Series 250GB SSD Review
I saw the review and saw the sale on BF but didn't pull the trigger. Good review and thanks for the great info. I recently ordered an Asus UX32VD-DH71 and plan to throw in an SSD at some point (it comes with a hybrid drive).

I recently picked up a pair of Gamecom 780's that are fantastic. Definitely worth the look if you are shopping around.

Re: what flashlight do you use?
I still have several old school maglite's that I use for general stuff. I keep a small LED flashlight in the office for some tasks. If I need to be hands-free I have a couple of those LED lights that you can mount to your head. They look goofy, but they're bright and can be helpful when needing both...

Re: Anybody With Good Razer Experience(s)?
I have a Razer Naga and quite enjoy it. I also have a couple of Logitech G5 mice (the V2 models) that are solid. I got the Naga to play around with. I've been a Logitech fanboi for years now and wanted to give something else a legit try. While I do like the Naga's thumb buttons you just can't beat t...

Re: cold/flu going around
A few years ago I installed a UV light setup in the furnace to kill off some of those little baddies. Put in new bulbs a few months ago, so hopefully most of the crud flying around in our house gets zapped. On that note, it doesn't help when you pick it up elsewhere. Little man has been sick with so...

Re: Have You Been *Denied* A Mail In Rebate?
I've only had one XFX rebate personally over the years and had no issues. I helped a friend with a build and they had an XFX MOBO with a rebate, also without problems. I have a file folder that I keep in my office where I put photo copies of all my rebates. I want to say that maybe 4 or 5 years ago ...

Oh yeah, if you zoom out from Nate's link a bit and then go West a bit you'll see the other zig zag thingy and then a bit more West of it are the 3 jets within the rings. Really wacky stuff.

Re: Why Is China Building These Gigantic Structures??
Structures? Zoom in on some of the areas with more pronounced terrain features (Like on the right edge, about a 1/3 of the way down from the top). Looks more like paint than anything - to me at least. There are no clear breaks with the hilly areas. Looks freakin odd though... Someone else pointed th...

Re: The AMD Layoff Letter
Same, that looks like most of the ones I have seen as well. My favorite tactic was to "rebadge" folks - meaning you get moved to another company and still perform the same duties only now you're a contractor. Then a couple of years go by and the "rebadged" folks end up getting hi...
