As I expected, the double install failed.
I really didnt see the logic in the process anyway.
:(

AHCI is next, when time allows.

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

I'm going to check, but I believe AHCI is enabled. Disable it and set it to the standard IDE/whatever your bios has and try installing again. Ok, if the dbl install process fails that will be my next step! Life has taken over for the moment, puter's on back burner for the time being! Thanx KnightRi...

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

Thinking about the xp problem on the ssd - could it be the bios setting for the drive being set to the (oh my god brain fart.....ummmmm) AHCI rather than the regular IDE? Did XP work with AHCI? Trying my friend, I am trying :partyman: With MS telling you to stuff it, yea, they want everyone on 10. ...

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

No idea why your key did not work when you installed as it should, unless there were major hardware changes. You are going to have to wipe the drive . I do not see a way around this. Unless you stick with 32bit and 4gb. Of course I could always be wrong but everything I have read says you need to d...

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

If you have a working 32 bit key, all you need is a comparable level 64 bit disk. So say its a 32bit oem home key, you need a 64 bit oem home disk. Install the 64bit version, with the 32bit key done. Edit: if this on something like a Dell, that is a bulk key. Those can be tricky to do, tracking dow...

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

The key works for both. I would backup and fresh install. Will prevent most driver issues. The only problem with that is, its an upgrade version. I tried to upgrade 64 over 32 and it would not let me run the software. It gave me a not compatible error, to check with manufacturer to see if they have...

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

You might not be able to "upgrade" from 32 to 64, you might have to reinstall. Best way is to put the disc in and go through the menus like you are upgrading and see if it lets you. Windows will tell you if you can or not as Windows is god lol Ok, been doing a little research and found a ...

Win7 32 to 64?

Trying to figure out if I can load Win7 64bit over Win7 32bit using the same product key!
The original Win7 offers both 32 and 64bit versions and only 1 product key provided!
It is an Upgrade Version!

Trying to revive an old system and would like to max out the memory!

Re: Corsair Spec-04 Tempered Glass Mid-Tower Case Review

Nice case, but no 5.25 drive bays? I use my PC's for everything so a DVD/BD optical drive is a must! Sad to see them go the way of the Dinosaur. :( I'd like to see a tempered glass case with 2x 5.25 bays! Hide them just like they hide PSU's! Hint hint... Corsair and every other PC case manufacturer!...

HP Spyware?

I just read a short article about the software(spyware), but it didn't get very specific on what info it collects and reports back to HP!
Does anyone know anything about "HP Touchpoint Analytics Service"?

Looks like a nice chair to me! Just don't spin around too much or you will get sick and then get grounded lol Tv is sweet! Re: Need new mouse - suggestions wanted

I have a Panasonic Inverter microwave and it interferes with 2.4ghz signals, that is the problem. It cuts off my wireless internet if I use it and everything. Tried different channels on the router and nothing fixes it. So I don't have a problem with the fob or the wireless, just the signal interfe...
