Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Talked with APC a bit and they are game for sending some models out for review. Thinking about going with the BR1500MS for the office as it has some nice features like SineWave and USB Type-C charge ports. It's 900W and runs just under $190 on Amazon . Then I'm also going to ask for BE600M1 as I th...

Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Wow, those are pretty good prices at Best Buy for the 650VA. Amazon wants $74 and Walmart wants $72. techbatterysolutions.com Wants $31 shipped for a new battery... So, $31 to put a new battery in or ~$70 after tax to buy a new model... ugh $31 for a new Battery, you can do that twice and still sav...

Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Stick with APC!

I've had 2 CyberPower and both failed at about 3 to 3 1/2yrs old!
I now have 2 APC 650's, both still working!
One is like yours, about 7yrs old, the other is closer to 4 or 5!
I'll never buy another CyberPower!

Re: What is your favorite genre of music?

Ditto except mine is pretty much no to all country. METAL!!! DIO, Judas Priest, Metallica, Ratt, Queensryche, etc I totally agree! I grew up with one side of the family from Kentucky, so there's a little bit of the old stuff that I have a soft spot for! Simply because I grew up with it. Everything ...

Re: New system

I think you'll like the 1700, I built a setup recently for a friend with a 1700 on an ASUS B350F gaming board! He loves it! He says that Asus' Aura works pretty good! https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132988 with an ssd its pretty responsive, a little better than my 9520! Yea...

Re: 4 SATA connectors on MB went bad it seems..??

This may not be any help, but oddly similar...Kinda! This is from a past topic of mine! 2. This being the big one, when I went in to bios to see if AHCI was enabled(it was not) I read all the side notes when you highlight a category and there was a note that said under SATA enabled(instead of AHCI) ...

Re: Corsair Carbide Spec-Omega Mid-Tower Case Review

Anydvd does have a feature to eliminate the Cinavia watermark when used with CloneBD! correct, but the the audio is downgraded to AC3, not the original audio signal. It ads a little distortion, but not bad. I'd rather leave it though and just use players and TV's that don't support it ;) The Samsun...

Re: Corsair Carbide Spec-Omega Mid-Tower Case Review

I could see how you would come to the conclusion that I rip discs, but I do not! The hint would be the BD Burners(x2)! With that said, it has been crossing my mind to get away from my old school ways and setup some sort of a NAS/Server. The stacks are starting to get out of hand! Oh my goodness... ...
