More specifically check at what % of speed your fans are running, might just be a setting you played around with by accident or got changed around by a program.

I went to a international school and the work load and extra curricular activities got really intense(cadets/mandatory sports/community service). The internet was blocked most of the time and i almost got caught using a proxy(tor) and decided to stop using it as not having a computer was worse :/. A...

have you tried a partition recovery program? You didn't specify if it was partition program or not. I tested this one by creating a partition on my external drive then deleting it, it found the partition and recovered it: http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Data-Recovery-Wizard-Free-Edition/3000-2248_4-...

You can always find a compromise. The 400-500$ laptops are great for note taking and school related stuff when a decent 1000$ pc will get you through most games on high settings.
