Need help with a power supply.
So I was working with my project today and needed 5V and a very high amount of current ( About 5A) so I thought of using my CX750, while working I have noticed something very disturbing. The Standby power of this power supply is about 2.4V-3.1V, It should be 5V right? so I have tasted my cheap old v...

Re: AMD Athlon 5350 APU and AM1 Platform Review
yeah it should, if someone can import that here. I've read the whole article and I agree with the fact that at this price it is really a good thing.one can easily do everyday work, entertainment, programming on c/cpp, yes it will be really helpful. although a cheap mini-iTX board would be awesome. I...

I guess the TF4 is a pretty good card for that resolution. and as you already have one why changing it?

Phenom X6 is a pretty good processor.
and even if u want to upgrade why going to triple core or something like that?
if u wanna switch, switch to 6300/8300 series!

i will also recommend to wait for AMD's new series to show up! You might get better deal or existing cards might face price decrease whatever it is it should be worth waiting.

Re: Processor for HD Video Editing?
if you want to do video editing stuffs go with the higher physical core count. AMD 8350 is pretty good choice here. if you can buy a aftermarket cooler you can overclock it a bit and that will get your job done.

Re: AMD FX-6300 - budget configuration
1. Motherboard choice is pretty good. you can definitely take it. 2. I don't think paying for high frequency RAM is necessary as long as you are not using AMD APU series. what i can suggest is get 1600MHz RAM. and get two 4GB sticks. Maybe crucial or corsair RAM. I'm suggesting two sticks for activa...

Re: IGPU Power consumption
intel HD2000 of my i7 2600 had an around 3W consumption. However i7's TDP is 95W, specified by intel, when i fully load the cores it consumes around 85W. Though its hard to believe that this intel HD is consuming 10W!
if you even turn it off, it still shows a 0.2W power draw.

Re: i5-3450 3.1GHz @ 3.9GHz
you can change the multiplier to achieve higher clock speed. I have done it on my non k CPU. http://redwanhasan.blogspot.com/2013/06/overclocking-sandy-ivy-bridge-in.html and you can also adjust turbo to higher speed. 3.5GHz what intel has specified is only single core running scenario. you can modi...
