Re: Gmail Address Nearly At Capacity
Are you serious? Do you ever archive your read messages? I believe by archiving them, gmail compresses them and they take up less space. You can still search on them and everything, but it will reduce the size. Are you using that space for file storage as well?

Re: Radioactive Semi Load on Interstate 70 in St. Louis
Any major hospitals up your way? It could be the radioactive isotopes they use in testing. While being very radioactive they have short half lives so while they require some security it's not like Doc can use it in his Delorian. You could very well be right about hospitals. There are a ton of major...

Re: Radioactive Semi Load on Interstate 70 in St. Louis
Those radioactive transport containers are designed and tested to handle many different kinds of impact. So the chances of radioactive material getting released when it is involved in an accident is fairly low. http://ohioline.osu.edu/rer-fact/rer_41.html As for nuclear power plants, wouldn't they b...

Hello, Toyota? I'd like to get robbed tomorrow.
For those who don't already know, Amy and I bought a 2006 Prius in July of 2006. It was fully loaded which included High-Intensity headlamps. What seems like 9 months after we bought the car, the driver's side headlight would flicker and then go completely out. We could turn the headlights off and t...

Re: Computer Science vs Computer Engineering
Dan may be on to the difference, but I will say that when I got my Computer Science degree, we did touch on just about everything Dan listed for the SE degree. So I will say there is a justification for those that say they are 'pretty much the same'. However, while I don't know for sure, I could see...

Probably a limitation of the upload speed of the server hosting the feed.
if they have more than one server, might try to disconnect and hit the link again in hopes that you get a server with a lesser load.

Re: Windows 7 versus Windows XP on the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA
Thanx for the test. I have a few additional questions since I'm concidering to upgrade my Asus 1005HA. What version of Windows 7 was used in this test, the x64 or the x86? Home premium, pro or ultimate edition? Did you perform any adjustmenst or upgrades to the pre-installed machine ware (put in mo...

Would I ever get one? no, probably not. If I somehow got one given to me, I might keep it for a while, but I'd be more interested in an Android equivalent tablet. Just sayin'.

Re: Apple iPad 16GB Wi-Fi Edition Tablet PC First Impressions
I just had a few minutes hands on with one and my first impressions are it is fast and the native iPad apps out there now use the screen res pretty well. the ABC app was also impressively fast at page loads (using pre-downloaded content). As far as a big market, I know there are some educational ins...

Re: GeForce GTX 480 Gets a BIOS Update and Cooks an Egg
HAHAHA... that was an awesome attempt! Surprising that NVIDIA didn't seem to test the new bios under the same conditions you found the dual-monitor heat problem or they would have found that the new BIOS revision didn't fix the problem!

Re: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 GF100 DX11 Video Card Review
Seriously I bet a computer with the 480 would heat up a small room a good amount all by itself (and the sound would give the room a nice jet engine feel). All you'd need is a set of goggles, a scent of fuel and you're all set! Hehe... like any product fault - someone can put a spin on it and call i...
