Re: Anyone into 3d printing?

I have Cura installed and used it to do my idea to get a general idea how long it would take to print and just to see if I could get it right. Generating the GCODE and it printing can be two different things lol, but 99% of the time the projected time is off by the slicers. The longer the print, mo...

Re: Anyone into 3d printing?

Re: NES Classic or SNES Classic?

The zapper tech depended on the known constant of how CRT's rendered lines and the set refresh rate. Modern LCD refresh rates and how they render lines F's all the sweet timing to hell and gone. But yeah, the NES and SNES classics are HDMI and come with a cable. Controller cables are a bit short tho...

Living someplace that didn't require a job to get by. Jail? Unless you have someone on the outside to send money, you will have to do work inside to earn commissary money. They also charge you a fee for being in jail. County (here in MO) is around $50 a night. Forgot what state lockup is. I k...

Re: Newegg gives state customers past sales info ....

Glad all my purchases from the Egg are done through my work account lol. Even then I find myself buying at micro center or Amazon more and more.

Wonder how my work is handling my on line purchases. I do it all through the company card. huh.

Wish crypto miners would stop using video cards. Cost of cards are flat !@#$% ridiculous.

Combined with the cost of RAM lately... ](*,)

Re: Using Robocopy for backups

Shouldn't copy open files anyway. Thats how files get corrupted. Robo does do security if you turn the /SEC switch on. You can set a Robo script to run on a schedule.

Re: Win7 32 to 64?

If you have a working 32 bit key, all you need is a comparable level 64 bit disk. So say its a 32bit oem home key, you need a 64 bit oem home disk. Install the 64bit version, with the 32bit key done. Edit: if this on something like a Dell, that is a bulk key. Those can be tricky to do, tracking down...

The key works for both.

I would backup and fresh install. Will prevent most driver issues.

Re: Ditching Cable

I've pretty much had it with Spectrum TV, tired of their high prices for less channels. I'm keeping the high speed internet though, so I was wondering what other services you folks use instead of cable/satellite. I saw an article on FUBO TV that looked promising, my only requirement is that it get ...

Re: Ditching Cable

I think data caps for internet are stupid. Friend has a satellite connection because he lives in the middle of no where. He is limited to 10GB a month. My daughter can do that in a week because 99% of what she watches is streamed content. Only 2 shows she watches on broadcast TV and that only becaus...

Re: Ditching Cable

I know a few people have switched to streaming. Most are using combinations of Amazon Prime, Netflix, Playstation Vue, and Kodi. The difficulty is the sports. If you want sports, you can go the kodi route and take a chance with the sketchy live streams, most come from outside of the country. The leg...

Re: Help! No LAN detected.

The on board may have shot craps. Boot to a linux live cd of some flavor a see if it will see the PCI card.

In the off chance if sees either of the NICs, Windows is dorked somehow. Sees nothing, could be the board.

I have lost track of the number of people that have brought me a PC to fix that didn't even make a recovery drive, let alone backup anything up. Most I see lately is pushing cloud backup. Re: Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless SE Gaming Headset Review

System is on while I need it, off when I don't. When I'm converting files or crunch on something overnight can't have the system hibernating for that. Lock the screen and turn monitor off, but timer for screen saver kicks in and boom, headset starts cycling all the colors. Its a bit annoying. System...

Re: Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless SE Gaming Headset Review

I like my Void PRO RGB USB headset. I wish there was a way to flat out disable the RBG. For now I just set it to black, sadly when the screen saver runs it cycles colors.

Will be so happy when the RGB crap goes away.

Re: Bubba

The Powerspec 3D Pro I have has done quite well. Going down in cost is the Monoprice Marker Select Plus, do the mosfet mod to ensure there is no failures to the electronics. Going up in cost, Prusa Mark II, Utilimaker 2 REALLY going up in cost Formlabs Form 2 I would also highly recommend Simplify 3...
