Re: Maximo iM-490S iMetal Earphones Review

These look brand new and the sheet that came with them says they are Replacements so I assume they are new. It's really wierd, the ones I sent in the right speaker just died, but the new ones have a different problem. Its like it only works if it's adjusted in your ear a certain way, if you try to m...

Re: Maximo iM-490S iMetal Earphones Review

I got my replacements a few days ago but I'm having some problems with it, the left side just doesn't seem to work all the time. I know there aren't any problems with my setup because I get the same problem on my Zune while other headphones work just fine. Not sure what to do now, these headphones s...

Re: 9600 GT or 9600 GSO

Yeah but crysis on 1920 x 1080 will fry the GSO if you ask me... or will it, I don't know I am not a Video Card expert so really I don't know why I am posting here... it makes as much sense as this guy's eyes do! You're right, if you have a 22" monitor or up you're going to want som...

Re: 9600 GT or 9600 GSO

About Crysis, it's not really the hardware killer everyone claims it to be. Even if you get low framerates (25-30) in Crysis you'll find it still playable. 8600GT and up should be able to handle it on Medium settings. It depends entirely on the resolution you'll be gaming at though. I play at 1680x1...

Re: Thinking about an Xbox

I was a PC gamer for a long time as well, but I'm quite happy with my 360. I suggest the standard Premium console. The new ones have no "Red Rings Of Death" problems. Actually, I have never experienced any issues myself and I have a first-gen 360. I have a friend with a dead first-gen (bou...

Re: DFI Lanparty DK P45-T2RS7 Motherboard Pictures - Intel P45

There is no pink on this board, it's orange/yellow with black PCB. The LT models are green/yellow which is what my board looks like and is much better looking IMO. I would recommend DFI over Asus any day!

Re: 9600GT Opps Question

ATi multi-gpu setup = Crossfire
Nvidia multi-gpu setup = SLI

SLI can only really be done on boards with Nvidia chipsets right now, so unless you buy a new motherboard you are out of luck.

Re: New Video card? suggestions.

All of the listed cards would do well for you. You could even go SLI with a couple 8800GTs if you have the money. not on that psu he couldnt A decent brand 530w PSU is definitely enough for 8800GT/9600GT SLI. If it's a generic brand PSU though, then that's a different story. But IMO it's better to ...

Re: 2gb vs 4gb

Some apps used by developers, artists, etc. may benefit, but for games and movies 2gb is definitely enough.

Do what I did and spend the extra dough to get a better video card or processor!

No, but Nvidia is the sponsor that made it free. Because they know damn well PC gamers wouldn't pay for new maps.

*still bitter about paying for the maps on Xbox 360*

Re: DFI Lanparty DK P45-T2RS7 Motherboard Pictures - Intel P45

DFI boards are amazing. I have the LanParty X38 LT and I am so glad I chose it over an Asus. Sweet board that's aimed at overclockers, but it's awesome even if you're not that hardcore about overclocks. The thing is I just absolutely hate their orange/black color scheme, the green/yellow looks much ...

I agree with Digerati, if you're having temp troubles you definitely want to try RealTemp.

If you calibrate it properly the temps should be VERY accurate. http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

I love my XFX 8800GTS 512. $250, and it came with Call of Duty 4 too!

Plays Crysis all Very High with 2x AA @ 1680x1050, and any other game totally maxed out!

Re: ZEROtherm Zen FZ120 CPU Cooler - Performance For Just $39

Looks like a really nice cooler, glad that you can use your own fan with this one. I would have got this if it had come out just a few months earlier. I've got the Zerotherm NV120, and I'm really happy with it, except I can't use my own fan and the fan controller is big and ugly. Also the heatsink i...

Re: Game Testing 2GB versus 4GB of Memory on Vista 64-bit

Personally I would not tough Vista x64 with less then 4gigs myself , as Vista uses about 1gig just to run (non-tweaked) , leaving only a gig left and with some newer games using up to that remaining gig ; leaving you to use the page file. Actually, unused RAM is wasted RAM. Your OS is loading commo...
