Re: AMD Turbo CORE Technology on Phenom II X6 CPUs
I've never had an amd system before because I was never felt comfortable enough about the platform but this looks really promising. Only problem is I only game, I don't encode hd video or run benchmarks so I'll have to wait and see if this is indeed worthwhile- especially in regards to the cache on ...

Re: SanDisk 32GB Extreme SDHC Memory Card Review
I know a few photographers who shoot in RAW and swear that no sd card has ever been able to compete with a compact flash card. Additionally no one ever seems to go larger than 8gis because of slower write performance in combination with complete corruption of the cards. Anyone had any positive exper...

Re: Windows 7 Sticky
good to know windows 7 is being well received. Just out of curiosity how well are people gaming on 64bit? Also a little bit more unscrupulous bit has anyone had trouble with.... 'pirated software?' I only have a non legit copy of CS4 purely because even the student version is still insanely priced.

Re: ATI Radeon HD 5970 Dual-GPU Video Card Review
thanks for the review, it proved to be a nice read. That being said my 5870 is doing just fine and even that card sits right near the hard drive cage in the antec 900... wonder if the 5970 could fit its tip inside?

mouse pointer icon
for some strange reason my mouse icon has changed to the same icon with the loading hourglass next to it. I cant even change it in control panel but it says its on defult setting any way. Also cpu activity is low ranging from 0-7% so i don't know whats going on or why it's saying something 'loading'.

Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 Video Card Review
thanks for the review, i had been waiting for some time now :) Ive tossed and turned if i should grab a gtx 260 or a 4850x2 for some time and i cant help but feel the 4850x2 is the better choice for me. Yes the nvidea 180 drivers are brilliant but the raw power that this card puts out is just too ha...

Re: Build Advice (Tax Time 2009)
there's really no need at all for i core 7 gaming wise unless you need the best money can but and that being said most game engines will barely support hyper threading/ multiple core cpus. That doesn't mean that there aren't games that don't but majority says you will be more than fine with the dual...

Re: the 4850x2
thanks man that sounds awesome and ill definitely be looking out for it. Ive seen 1 or 2 more recent articles that put the 4850x2 closer to its big brother (4870x2) with a little bit of overclocking at certian resolutions. Either way its dropped down to $550 and really i cant help but think that it'...

Re: Any reason to NOT buy a Logitech G15 keyboard?
the newer one looks a bit smaller (original is ginormous) but then again i could be wrong, also i've found logitechs screens end up being more troublesome than anything in the end, also orange lights? not my taste but most review give the new g15 a pretty good wrap

Re: gpu to run dual 1920x1080 tvs
a lot of people have been praising the 4850's ability as a good multiple/cinema gpu. Can anyone tell me whether or not ati has better hd video decoding? everyone says it does but then again maybe there's a contrary forum out there that i have yet to stumble upon.
thanks again

gpu to run dual 1920x1080 tvs
hey guys my mates just bought a 32" samsung tv to use as a monitor instead of his pioneer 60". He doesn't game anymore but he'll probably only play diablo 3 whenever it comes out but he wants to run both screens in some instances at the same time(i mean why not) so the big question is 4850...
