Re: New Custom Water Cooled Loop

I know right. I have been checking the delivery status everyday even though I know it would not of changed yet. It's like waiting for a reveal of your fav show so you know the date it will be starting again. I'm sat on the edge waiting ever so impatiently for the arrival and full day disassemble and...

Re: New Custom Water Cooled Loop

Well I have decided to go 1in and 1 out for safety. so flow order is : res>pump>gpu>cpu>360rad>res All in all it has cost me £280 from £407. Ok so I used aliexpress for the gpu block, cpu block, pump and res. but all the parts I got was already on my ebay listing and yet was £70 less on aliexpress f...

New Custom Water Cooled Loop

As the title says I am doing a custom loop with gpu and cpu block a single 360 copper rad reservoir and pump standalone not integrated. This is the pump I am using. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/SPD10-S-Barrow-PWM-speed-control-multi-color-10W-water-cooling-pump-computer-case-pump-cooler/328613999...

Re: New system

This year really hasn't gone well many of us. Even I had bad luck when 1803 update came out for windows 10 and refused to install then corrupt my current install. Took 5 days to get windows working from clean install and only just got it up again :( As for the mobo or power supply (psu most likely b...

Re: Conversion bracket

Most Zalman coolers came with this middle bracket clip and it worked great for me and held on very tight in fact tighter than I was expecting.

+Try mx 4 or gelid extreme. It's+-71 thinner than arctic silver but not by much. Maybe enough if you thin it out a little more

Re: New system

In fact the cpu pulling out of the socket may well be the issue. A friend of mine had an issue where he would change the paste fort better temps constantly and pull the cpu from the socket. Even though he did that and reseated it, it failed to boot and setting went all over the place. I fixed it by ...

Re: New RTX cards - INSANE pricing!

tbh I don't plan on upgrading this system until it starts to struggle with games on high settings. At the moment 100% of all games I have (over 150) run at 60+ fps at 1080p. even the poorly optimised ARK Survival Evolved and the recent battlefield 1 runs butter smooth on max settings. never see more...

Re: New system

Odd that the mobo died than came back to life. Why on earth the rgb system is having a meltdown is damn right superstitious. Have a feeling it could be a mobo demon issue with all that's going on as of late. Maybe an electro demon decided to posses your mobo. As for the freak temp range at idle, hav...

Re: 4 SATA connectors on MB went bad it seems..??

The 1200 is great for air but as I found out a while ago it doesn't like 240 rads (unless thin rad). I had trouble getting a 240 into this case with the best place for the rad being at the rear (although I prefer front for pulling in cool air). While the room is there the motherboard I used had the ...

Re: New system

I'm old and still like using the BIOS/UEFI for overclocking 95% of the time. I'm in agreement with Apoptosis here. while there are programs that do a good job but bios overclocking is safer as you maybe able to get said overclock on desktop but not be able to post after reset in which you will have...

Re: New system

glad you got it up and running finally. as for the app in windows having more options than the bios, is beyond me seeing as the bios/motherboard is what is controlling/power the aura. oh well have fun ;)

Re: New system

Man I do love my haf 932. You got a nice setup and a 1060 will do that cpu justice. Your not the only one with aura issues. I built a rig for a friend recently and my god is the app useless. It pretty much does it for you minus you setting the colour. I couldn't get it to work even with the bios. So...
