Re: New system

In fact the cpu pulling out of the socket may well be the issue. A friend of mine had an issue where he would change the paste fort better temps constantly and pull the cpu from the socket. Even though he did that and reseated it, it failed to boot and setting went all over the place. I fixed it by ...

Re: New RTX cards - INSANE pricing!

tbh I don't plan on upgrading this system until it starts to struggle with games on high settings. At the moment 100% of all games I have (over 150) run at 60+ fps at 1080p. even the poorly optimised ARK Survival Evolved and the recent battlefield 1 runs butter smooth on max settings. never see more...

Re: New system

Odd that the mobo died than came back to life. Why on earth the rgb system is having a meltdown is damn right superstitious. Have a feeling it could be a mobo demon issue with all that's going on as of late. Maybe an electro demon decided to posses your mobo. As for the freak temp range at idle, hav...

Re: 4 SATA connectors on MB went bad it seems..??

The 1200 is great for air but as I found out a while ago it doesn't like 240 rads (unless thin rad). I had trouble getting a 240 into this case with the best place for the rad being at the rear (although I prefer front for pulling in cool air). While the room is there the motherboard I used had the ...

Re: New system

I'm old and still like using the BIOS/UEFI for overclocking 95% of the time. I'm in agreement with Apoptosis here. while there are programs that do a good job but bios overclocking is safer as you maybe able to get said overclock on desktop but not be able to post after reset in which you will have...

Re: New system

glad you got it up and running finally. as for the app in windows having more options than the bios, is beyond me seeing as the bios/motherboard is what is controlling/power the aura. oh well have fun ;)

Re: New system

Man I do love my haf 932. You got a nice setup and a 1060 will do that cpu justice. Your not the only one with aura issues. I built a rig for a friend recently and my god is the app useless. It pretty much does it for you minus you setting the colour. I couldn't get it to work even with the bios. So...

Re: ADATA XPG Spectrix D40 16GB RGB DDR4 Memory Review

I was recently looking for basic value ddr3 8gb single stick and that set me back £40 used let alone £55 new. It's stupid pricing at the moment and fixed pricing on memory here in the uk has stuck since 2015 when memory prices sky rocketed. I got my current corsair vengeance pro 4x4gb 1600 kits for ...

What games do you currently play?

So what games are everyone playing and are you console or pc?

I currently play 7 Days To Die, Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, Killing Floor 2 and Warframe. I play a lot of indie games and love to support devs in getting greenlight on steam. go indie teams :)

Re: why this section dead?

I'm still here gaming away on my pc :finga: Love my rig and play almost everyday. I play a number of games but 90% FPS. I currently play 7 days to die, rising storm 2, warframe and killing floor 2. Sometimes I switch back to old games for nostalgia and for the good old days. In fact I'll start a thr...

Re: Looking into new water cooler!

I have the Lepa Exllusion 240 and it is a great cooler. Got it about 3 months after release and still going at full speed. I have only used mine for 4-6 hours a day with pump at 100%/4000rpm 25% above its rated max speed. Even Enermax have said its rare for a pump to far exceed its rated speed but n...

Re: Does anyone here mine Cryptocurrency with nvidia cards

I have looked into it and yes mining is expensive. while it can be beneficial, the gains are just not worth the time and effort. Besides that poor gpu is under a lot of stress 24/7 as that is what you would need to do in order to make anything worth while. good luck if your going down that route. Th...

Re: Still Rocking The i7 2600k

Currently my res/pump are at full speed 4000rpm and my rad fan ML Pro 120 are at 2000rpm until they hit 50c then jump up slowly to 2400rpm. Will be linking my res/pump to pwm so I sit at 3000rpm until 50c then slowly ramp up to 4000rpm. the reason I ended up getting the sandy instead of another ivy,...

Still Rocking The i7 2600k

Happy new year everyone, It's been a while since I posted last. so I have had this cpu for 2 years and got it second hand from ebay. The seller claimed it had been at stock with stock fan for 5 years and never gone above 60c. So now I have the 2600k running at 5ghz HT on @1.416v (1.404v full load) w...
