Re: Wireless Network Issues

Skier, thanks for the reply and yes the information that you have provided is very helpful. I hate to sound stupid, but do I need to shut down my N900 wireless router before connecting my N600 to my PC? Thanks!

Re: Wireless Network Issues

Got a question for you wireless network experts out there. Can I use my Netgear N600 wireless router as a repeater? I picked up the Netgear N900, but am still having issues at my PC with the Internet cutting out on me. I believe that my wireless adapter is on it's death bed, so before I spend $40-50...

Re: Wireless Network Issues

The family PC is an HP All In One, so think BIG laptop with the wireless adapter built into the motherboard (no antenna). My PC sits on top of my desk in my office and is situated approximately 30 feet from the router. Furthermore, there is no door to my office, so it's not like my router was having...

Wireless Network Issues

Need some help! I relocated my wireless router, a Netgear N600, upstairs to provide my kids a better connection for gaming purposes (PC &. PS3). Since moving it to a more centralized location my home PC is now severally suffering. Internet is timing out and I'm only getting max speeds of 130 Mbs...

Re: DIY All-in-One

I actually own an All In One HP Touchsmart PC and I hate it. I had to turn off the touchscreen, which was really money wasted, as I rarely used it and it was starting to glitch on me. They're not upgrade friendly and Major was dead on when he said that you'll not be able to upgrade the gpu as I've a...

Re: Graphics Card Upgrade

Thanks Major A for your response....much appreciated. We've decided to go with the Nvidia 660ti and now I'm keeping an eye out for the best price. He has a 430W Thermaltake PSU (model TR2) and I've read where a 500W PSU is required and I've read where what he has currently will work. Can someone ple...

Graphics Card Upgrade

My son has the Nvidia GTX550 Ti (2GB version) and he wants to upgrade to the next level card. I'm admittedly out of the loop and not sure whether to move up to the 600 series Nvidia cards or go the direction of the ATI Radeon 7800 series. He's got your basic HP pc with an A6 AMD processor, 8GB RAM. ...

Upgrading a Mobile GPU in an All In One Desktop

The family computer is an HP Touchsmart with the i7 cpu. We have the 230M video card installed and I was wondering if these can be upgraded and if so is it very difficult? For a basic PC it has been fine allowing my wife and kids to surf, do homework, watch YouTube video's, Facebook and some decent ...

Re: DVD Ripper Software

Major_A, DVDFab works great! I had to do a little stumbling around at first to get it to work on my kids ipods and my iphone, but once I got that worked out the quality is simply awesome! Takes only about 20 minutes to rip and encode a DVD and it averages about 1GB per movie. Used Clash of the Titan...

My family and I are getting ready to take a vacation and we'll be traveling for several hours. My kids have Ipod Touches (4th Gens) and I wanted to load up a couple of movies for them to keep them occupied. Re: How to connecting a PS2 & Xbox to a PC Monitor?

You could use the component cable for the PS2 and get the VGA cale for the XBox The PC Monitor only haves one set of Component inputs as well as one set of VGA, DVi and HDMi inputs. I get video by connecting the PS2 using the component cables, but there's no way for me to get audio with that setup ...
