It will be difficult to make a profit unless you have free electricity.

You can try wiping all drivers, then installing the older one and barring Windows from updating them.

Actually even this setup plays 4K 25fps video stretched over a few screens just fine. It's 60fps where the problems begin.

Re: Minimalist 4K
Yeah, I know two ways I can go is putting a better GPU that actually supports the resolution (you are right that 460 doesn't) or new-gen motherboard/CPU combo are the ways to go. Wanted to know if anyone has good experience with 4K on lower-end components, like, for example, if passive-cooled GPUs c...

Minimalist 4K
I'm going to upgrade a fairly old machine (Athlon II X4, GeForce GTX460) with main requirement being ability to connect a 4K screen to it and watch 4K videos without lag. I don't want to overpay for extra power I won't use, so the question is what is the most efficient route to achieve this...

Yeah, time when SSDs cost as much as HDDs do now and HDDs are given away for free can't come soon enough!

Could be a faulty SSD cable or connector, perhaps you could try different cable and/or plug it into different connector... Or simply make sure it doesn't get loose.

Re: Should etailers and PC makers show benchmarks?
I don't think one should expect a complete and accurate picture anyway, I'd still advise any buyer to do additional research from the point of concrete requirements and intended usage, but it could be useful when sorting and creating short-lists. Much better than sorting by GHz of GB, anyway.

Re: Should etailers and PC makers show benchmarks?
Absolutely, while one or two benchmarks can't be all and end all, it really helps when you can compare products that way at a glance, without having to remember what exactly hides beneath model numbers of components, with numerous specification that might be on offer.

Re: Corsair Carbide Air 540 ATX Cube Case Review
I don't mean to offend you but ... Do ya understand what's forced convection? Only one exists at a given time unless the intake fan is so weak there isn't much CFM. Sorry mate, computers are built mainly around forced convection ... If they are truly making use of natural convection then we'll be a...

Re: Corsair Carbide Air 540 ATX Cube Case Review
But if forced convection is done against the natural convection, then that is work wasted. Installing a fan doesn't void natural convection. If two work together, then maximum efficiency is gained.
