Re: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X and Threadripper 1920X Processor Review

Wow, for video editing it looks to me that AMD is the winner. Will have to wait to see if Intel does anything with pricing (LOL I know, I know, like that will happen) to try and stay competitive in the higher end or if they will just let the dice roll and wait for the next iteration of the core i pr...

Re: Is it good to buy social media accounts ?

I am guessing this is spam but to be nice I will answer it. You don't buy social media accounts as everyone finds out you bought them and then has a lower opinion of you than they would have with a crappy social media account. You made an account on here so you can make a social media account for yo...

Re: AMD Ryzen Threadripper Unboxing and Installation

Ok, I am drooling. Not $999 drooling nor the $400 MB drooling (ok I am drooling for both but after upgrading my NAS to 5-8TB drives to try and finish ripping my dvd/blu-ray collection there aint no daggone moneys left) but I am drooling at the possibility AMD may beat Intel benchmarks....we shall se...

Expensive but you get a 2 year warranty with water cooling.....ok, I am pulling at straws lol It is nice looking. I keep waiting for more manufacturers to get creative with computers and cases but they are still designed around the boring box. Be nice to see a modular motherboard design to allow cas...

Re: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and Ryzen 3 1300X Processor Review

You mean between AM4 boards or between AMD and Intel? AM4. Just seems you can get a whole lot of MB for a lower price compared to the releases for Intel chips. Maybe I am looking wrong but that is what I have noticed. More features or more advanced of the same features for the same or lower pricing...

Re: Is overclocking risky

Yes, it is risky...for the most part. If you use a windows based overclocking utility it is a lot safer than going in to your BIOS. You should avoid changing any voltage settings unless you have water cooling and you should keep an eye on your temps after overclocking to make sure they are safe. If ...

Re: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and Ryzen 3 1300X Processor Review

Best thing about Ryzen so far, for me, has been the motherboard prices. I keep looking to upgrade my i7-3770K and noticed a pretty big price difference in the MB rather than the CPU.

Do you know the reason why Nate? Anyone?

Re: Log R - Where Art and the Latest Technology Meet

@KnightRid: It is the bottom of Log R where the ports are located. The front and the back are nearly identical. So a plain jane computer case with wood slapped on its sides to act as feet so the plain jane case can be turned on its back to expose the ports on top to even more dust and dirt :rolleye...

Re: Log R - Where Art and the Latest Technology Meet

Plain and ugly are the first 2 words that come to my mind. I mean, plain jane thunderbolt/usb ports with no customization at all and this in a system that they ask 3320 Euro (wherever that damn key is and I am not looking up the ascii) or $3871.49 at the exchange rate right now. Oh and if you go to ...

Re: SanDisk Extreme 900 960GB Portable SSD Review

I admit, I got a woody looking at the speeds.....until I saw the price  Ok, it's not bad for a 2tb ssd, the MX300 is only about $250 cheaper and it is slower plus you need and external case but damn, they really need to bring ssd drives down to more affordable levels. i thought by now we woul...

Going down in cost is the Monoprice Marker Select Plus, do the mosfet mod to ensure there is no failures to the electronics. I was looking at that one and the Maker Select 3D Printer 2 - from what I have been reading, the Plus does NOT need the MOSFET mod but the 2 does. Seems they put a new versio...

I made a password reset disk with both CD and USB, why can't boot from it? LOL - I never even thought about another temp directory either. I just figured it was the user one too!!

Glad you got it man.

I would delete everything out of there as it is not needed. Windows is just too dumb of an OS to erase the temp folder after installing programs and updates.
