Re: New system

Not trying to be a dick...

Have you counted standoffs and made sure there is a screw used for each? Some cases have standoffs in locations not drilled out on the board.

Also, I'm offering again to send you out a brand new board in the box if you'd like to try a second board.

APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Anyone bought a UPS lately? I have an APC Back-UPS 550 that I bought roughly 7 years ago that has a failing battery (came home today to the alarm sounding). I don't feel like sinking ~$50 into it for a battery as I only paid about $80 for it new. I see the new UPS models have "Pure Sinewave&quo...

Re: Corsair Hydro H100i RGB Platinum CPU Cooler Review

nice! I wish they would start to include the ability to add a gpu line on. I never understood why they dont sell them with a splitter or even dual pumps and have a code inside that you can order the gpu block you need. Seems like a win win for everyone involved as I imagine most people that would b...

Re: HyperX Savage EXO SSD External Portable Drive Review

yeah, thankfully it's not tough to be honest for me. It's a great drive, but it's just slower than most all portable SSDs on the market and suffers from a tiny SLC cache. It flat out needs to be lower than the others and it can be with the buying power and sales figures that Kingston has. Kingston l...

Re: MyDigitalSSD M2X Portable SSD M.2 USB 3.1 External Enclosure Review

How on earth were you able to slide the drive, with attached thermal interface material, into the case? I've found that impossible if I want the interface material to be utilized. Double sided sticky and sliding don't mix. I might be dead wrong on how I do this, but I'll risk looking like an idiot ...

Want me to send you one and then get you to send that back? that way you have no down time? As for thermal paste... I've pulled them out of the socket before, but it's been a long time. I've used 'lighter' thermal paste lately and put on a very thin amount. No pulling at all since i've done that. Yo...
