I don't thinkj you are too late to get an unlocked one. Smaller shops that do less volume will have the older unlocked ones. Just got to look around a little bit. Try to get one if you can!

SIGH.... I knew this was coming, but seems that is it upon us already! Here is the list of CPU's from around the web that have been found to be locked or not... haha...ya I was confused when I saw that too, but then I saw the UK part. I have a few issues with that board too. If you want Eva start a thread on the intel mobo forum and we can go over our issues with that board. I'm actually in the process of reviewing it.

When using SATA in Intel 865/875 you NEED to manually set the PCI / IDE controllers to 66/100 instead of leaving it on auto.
