Well ATI has thrown down the gauntlet with the HD5000 series. What does Nvidia have in the books?

Very nice review Nate!

I think out of all the 5870 reviews I've read so far, you're was the most optimistic. Anandtech was the least impressed with the 5870.

Re: Lucid HYDRA 200 Chip Integrated into Intel Platform

Really looking forward to benches on this and performance will differ from the 1156 to 1366 boards. For the 1156 the chip almost sounds like it works as an off chip PCIE controller and then some. Gives you more lanes on the board but still looks like it bottle necks it going to the CPU but then aga...

Out of stock again. Newegg is going to be playing this cat and mouse game for a week or two.

I'd suggest waiting a couple months before you buy this. The holiday season will bring lots of great deals!

Re: Want To Run ATI Eyefinity? You need a Display Port Panel

Re: ATI Radeon HD 5870 DX11 Video Card Review

Great review. Shame it didn't do too well on overclocking though. Have you tried overclocking using other programs? I'd love to get my hands on one of this. But alas, I have no use for it. This is just the start though. Faster and better versions are in the works. Not news on the Nvidia front. But ...

Re: AMD ATI Radeon HD 5870 Review - Hot Hardware

I'd have to be bias and say that LR's review is the best. They always stick to the facts and bring you REAL results. Easy to read graphs are a nice perk too! I hate sites that do the maximum playable settings only. They should include the apples to apples reviews, not apples to peaches. This is why...

AMD ATI Radeon HD 5870 Review - Hot Hardware

Awesome review of the HD5870 over at Hot Hardware. First good review of the card I've seen thus far: http://hothardware.com/Articles/AMD-ATI-Radeon-HD-5870-Unquestionably-Number-One/ To summarize: HD5870 is the best performing single GPU solution on the market. With new features (Eyefinity, better a...

I hope your father is doing better. If you need to ask any medically related questions, I'll try and answer some. I'm starting my 4th year at med school and I remember an incident last year (ER rotation), a man was brought in after a motorcycle accident. His bike had slipped while going 90mph and he...
