No. i3 doesn't touch the FX-6300 when it comes to threaded applications. Single thread applications though ... But this is 2013.
You can OC a FX-6300 better than a FX-6100 can (Much better) and it's faster than a 6100 for sure. Being vishera
but you can't OC a i3 or a i5 unless you bought a K

Re: What processor to choose?
But the original zambezi is hot and slow ... I would rather have a FX-6300 any day over it. As for a great perf/$ card you should have a Sapphire 7850 OC 2GB, it's only a fair bit more over a 7770 Vapor-X OC and delivers almost double the performance. Even if you don't need the extra power you would...

Usually the pre built one are a fair bit more expensive than getting everything individually from Newegg or such and you can choose whether you want Sapphire Vapor-X or such Here's a list for you i7-3570k/3770k with a Gigabyte Z77 (Avoid D3H, i'm hearing no-POST using it on IVB) motherboard if you w...

Re: AMD FX-8150 Black Edition CPU Water Cooler Review
Well you can always change the fans for some low-noise dual ball bearing delta fans! (WFB series, i like them alot, they outperform corsair fans in every area) By H100 you mean the H100i from what i remember the H100 sucked because it was bloody loud for a water cooler so corsair launched the H100i ...

But it's only fair with 1600MHz RAM, because 1866 costs a bit more it's ... not really fair to pair up a 1866 with AMD and 1600 with the IVB, just goes to show how memory bandwidth limited bulldozer/piledriver is

Re: ASUS ARES II Video Card Review
I don't get it. ASUS made 999 of these cards. They were sent out to review sites around the globe in tons of languages. I saw some reviews were they were sent 2-3 to test Crossfire. So at the end of the day they have maybe 50 to sell. What's the point? To get us talking about the ASUS brand? To sho...

I just found this benchmark and wow ... what a shocker. And boy am i late.
I never knew the 7970 pre-Never Settle or 13.1 was already faster than a ASUS 680 TOP, of which costs 859$ here! And the Dual-X OC at a moderate 567$ which is excellent value ...

Re: BIOSTAR Hi-Fi A85W Motherboard Review
To the right of the Hi-Fi audio controller are some capacitors, and some resistors that will help clean up the audio signal while giving us a much clearer and crisper sound out of the onboard audio. No. Seriously you basically wouldn't want any resistor or capacitor in the signal chain but that's a...

Yep. For us the gigabyte boards are slightly more expensive than ASUS or ASRock or even MSI for the same feature set but! gigabyte is more expensive because they include the cost of shipping back if anything happens to the board generally, the others don't, if let's say your board does have a proble...

Maybe taking a look at the Cougar CMX V2 (Yes the 2nd version!) you might be impressed but then and again i still think the CMX is a pretty mediocre unit :\ the redeeming feature is the awesome orange case Compared to a Seasonic, this one seems to have a weak output filter but 84mV is still okay act...

Nope. Apple makes the worst laptops. EVER. Anyone who thinks apple makes decent laptops need to be sent for a roundtrip around foxconn and attempt to break the laptop down into components-level Quality is just sub-par, true they might be better than the rest in the past BUT IT IS NOT ANYMORE. I read it as the previous owner overclocking the CPU thoughMajor_A wrote:I read it as you overclocked the PC and it was stable then it wasn't. My bad, you probably could've just as easily swapped the jumper on the board for a minute.
