Re: 480GB HyperX Predator M.2 PCIe SSD Review
Man, if I had the spare cash I'd pick one of these up to replace my Intel SSD. The performance difference is huge compared to a standard SSD. Too bad I can't afford to pick up one LOL

Re: Seagate Wireless Mobile Storage 500GB Portable HDD Revie
Never really timed how long it lasts with the Seagate Wireless, I have a 6,000mAh one that I mostly use for my Note 4, gives me about 1.25 charge before it's dead. There are larger ones if you want a bigger one, I know Anker just came out with a 25,600mAh one that I've been thinking about picking up.

Re: Seagate Wireless Mobile Storage 500GB Portable HDD Revie
You can use the USB while charging, just not the Wireless and USB data connection at the same time. An external charger is possible, just get one of the various portable battery chargers, I use one by MyCharge all the time. Would be great to have a hot swap battery option, but sadly that would incre...

Seems basic but cool looking. I agree about the clear tubes and lighting them up!! Is there an option to change the base for a video card? Do you have access to the larger coolers to test? No option from DeepCool to change the base to attach to a GPU. And I wish I had one of the 240's to test, coul...

You are correct, while it wasn't spelled out, It was tested with both earcup pads, the bass is pretty good, but not as powerful as some others. Really depends on what you consider "sufficient" or "too much".

The over all thickness of the case for the S5 is actually less than the Otterbox that was on the S5. Of course for the iPhone users, they have a longer case than they would normally have. I'll have to look to see if I have something to measure the thickness of the case.

Which Paint Program
Had a friend recently ask about photo editing programs. He was looking at PaintShop Pro (Newegg has PhotoVideo Suite X6 for free after rebate right now). I haven't used that in a LONG time so know next to nothing about it. I personally use Photoshop CS6, but that was purchased for me by my work. I k...

Re: Turtle Beach Z60 7.1 Audio Gaming Headset Review
I have the same issue, what I ended up doing is getting an extension cable for the tv/stereo that is coiled, then while it's like 4ft coiled, it uncoils/stretches to around 10ft. Mine gets tucked away beside the stereo when I'm not using headphones. You'll want to make sure you can get the right end...

HA! I was just curious on how electricity worked...and fire...and explosives...and acids...the internet would have been the end of me at that age...of course I look back and 90% of the things I did then I'd be in prison for now (assuming I was ever caught).

This would've saved my parents many trips to the ER when I was a kid... :D I had this weird fascination with electrical sockets when I was really young... That explains much! LOL It is a pretty cool product, but still needs some refinement with the electrical humming. I sent me two models back to G...

Re: 1TB Seagate ST1000DX001 SSHD
I THINK there are programs that are hard coded to go partially into the pagefile rather than all into memory. Mostly business type apps and 32bit apps though; at least from what I've been seeing at my work. It's one of the things we noticed when we enabled full disk encryption on every desktop, the ...

Re: Single wire WLAN module?
It might be one of the Dell WiFi modules that is compatible with the wireless docking stations. I know we just got one of them in at work, and it has three antenna connections as well. One on one side, then a little break/separator, then the other two connections.

It's pretty much dependant on whether your wireless NIC supports WiDi. Run the Intel tool and it'll tell you if it's compatible with WiDi.

Re: Internal USB 3 Header Cable
No idea, maybe so. I'll find out when I get around to ordering that cable. Just seems weird that the internal cable is so heavy duty but the external ones are lightweight (yes I know internal = 2 connections, even one of the cables for internal is heavy duty though).

Putting together a new system and looking for an Internal USB 3 header cable extension that has been sleeved. I hate how stiff the manufacturers make the USB 3 cables.

Re: The old "What ____ should I buy" question
If you're doing a lot of video, would say get an i7. I did some quick testing at work with a group that does a lot of video, and saw a good performance increase from i5 to i7. By the first of the year, the x99 will have bugs/issues worked out and we'll be looking at the next gen coming soon. So an x...

TigerDirect Getting Worse
I've never had an issue with TigerDirect shipping or their rebates until now. On Sept 1, ordered a new MB and heatsink. Was about $15 cheaper than other places without having to mess with a rebate. Checked with them three times over the past week about the shipping, and all I got was "I'm sure ...
