Re: 2560x1440? How much GPU horsepower?
Nevermind you didn't get the idea behind my post. I am currently running a 3 24" 5760 x 1080 resolution desktop and trust me I do know quite a bit about resolutions and how it impacts performance of our gpu's.

Re: Temps of my new CPU
I use a few runs of linx to get my full load temps on the CPU. if you run programs like lin packs typically will lock down a CPU during the time they are being used this happened as well on my 970 when I ran a lin pack based program. F@H is a very good way on testing a CPU's stability for the long h...

Re: 2560x1440? How much GPU horsepower?
if you are going to be using a mid range video card for get playing it at the resolution with playable frame rates. but does not mean it renders that video card useless, remember that our video cards and games looks at the ratio more then the resolution. a 16:10 game will have the same exact view wh...

Re: Question about page filing
what i don't understand is if you are using gobs of memory already then why would you need a page file that is equal to or greater then the memory you have installed. isn't the idea of using more memory is to take that type of stuff off of the storage device so it can work faster? SO far it appears ...

Personally the AMD be the better choice out of the two because you can overclock it, the i5 you listed is going to be seriously limited on overclock ability. but that's just my opinion.

Re: AMD Catalyst 12.8 CAP3 is now available
Is it me or is others having issues on the newer drivers from AMD? For some odd reasoning on certain games like HL2 in spanned modes two of my three screens act like my computer is out of Vsync, or badly overclocked video cards while the third one works just fine.

Re: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Corsair 12gb 2000mhz bios settin
what are your settings in the BIOS? I don't typically use XMP settings because it doesn't always set the right parameters. Voltages on IOH, CPU VTT/QPI (some manufacturers use VTT others use QPI) memory, ICHIO (or also known as PCI-E voltages), ICH (South Bridge). I need to know your BCLK settings a...

Question about page filing
My computer is running with 32 gigs of memory. Now because I am running with so much memory Windows 7 decided to jack the page filing up to 45 Gigs eating up a large portion of the 128GBs SSD. Now should I move the page filing to a different drive (I have a set of 320 momentus lap top HDD's in RAID ...

Macro Photography
I purchased a extension tube for my camera so that i could possibly do Macro photography. If you don't know what an extension tube does for a camera, it moves the lens farther away from the camera's sensor forcing the lens to focus closer to the subject. the lens I am using currently is a standard 1...

Re: Antec Formula 7 TIM
I did, I liked it other than that is is extremely thick stuff to work with. That is the biggest complaint I have with it, that it is very thick and requires a little heating up to be able to work with it properly.
