Re: Finally a Power Outlet With Built in USB Ports

dang, but it'd be nice just to charge something faster and not have it take up a computer front port.

Re: A few programs and questions

I agree badaboom is not a very good program it is slower than the newest version of handbrake on an old amd 64 2.0ghz processor. That is sad. the 8600gts has a lot more power than the amd 64 yet more artifacts, larger file sizes and honestly longer encoding times. 1.5-3hrs on the amd and 4+ on the 8...

Re: Computer won't shut down all the way

If I get some time before finals I'll take it back apart and try it one step at a time. Though I might also be putting a q6600 into the box seeing as my friend bought a new i7 setup and wants to get rid of his older hardware.

Computer won't shut down all the way

OK so when I switch my components from an old full tower case into my newer HTPC case, I put all the same hardware in the new case then added a blu-ray drive and a usb media card reader (plugs into usb pins on mobo). All worked great in windows, but when I went to shut down the fans will keep spinni...

Re: WINDOWS7 lnstallation problem

I'm not sure on this but wasn't the 64bit on the P4's/PD's different than that of the AMD64 and later 64 processors? the X64 vs IA64 or something? I think the older 64 on the Pentium isn't compatible.

Handbrake 0.9.3 vs 0.9.4

Ok, so for those of you who use this program, you know how awesome it is. For those of you who don't then I suggest you try it if you need to encode video. Now for my issues I've been seeing. I have been using handbrake to encode my movies to .m4v (h.264) encoding which will be read by windows media...

Re: Windows 7 Sticky

Everything hardware wise has worked on it that I've tried, sometimes you needed to disable driver signing though. Then it says you are running in "Test Mode 7600" or something like that in the lower right corner. I found this Codec Pack for Window 7, and it seems to play just about anythin...

Upgrading From Windows 7 Beta/RC to Windows 7 Ultimate

So guys I found a nice link about doing this. It worked well for me. Our university bookstore is selling upgrade disks for 32 and 64 bit to ultimate from vista. It worked well from the beta with one file change. How To Upgrade Took hours to upgrade my beta to a full version but it did in fact work q...

Re: Unigine 'Heaven' - The First DirectX 11 Benchmark

might I ask what version of opengl it is native for? 2.0? 2.1? 3.0? 3.2? However I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures if it is 3.2. Do graphics cards need to be designed for support of opengl 2.0, 3.0 etc like DX versions? Does the 5xxx series AMD/ATI cards support the newest opengl?

Re: DFI LanParty BI G41-T33 Motherboard Review

second of all a lan party board is supposed to have some pizzas so you want to show it off at the lan part, like the old lan part UT boards that glowed under UV. They are supposed to be capable of frying your memory and cpu by having voltage ranges that are obscenely over normal. It is not a lan par...

is it sad that most of the speeds you were showing is the speed of my 30 dollar a month 1.5mb cable connection? Got to love living in a small town. Could it be you were sharing it with others? I might have missed that part of the review.

Re: Dell Extends Vostro Line with Power Packed Desktop

Very nice, I like the vostro line a lot. They seem to be some of the best priced computers that you can completely customize out there. Dell really gives good deals through small business. Though the overall computer might be a little overkill and expensive for people mostly using office :P.
