If you can live without a DVD player/burner then you can use that to add an additional HDD/SSD.

I have to agree with sgkean, for size(GB) and speed you can't go wrong with a Seagate hybrid.

Re: Be Quiet! Pure Power L8 700W Power Supply Review
LOL at the 5 zip ties. I can use 5 zip ties on one cable. I guess this isn't as bad as case manufacturers though that give you 4-5 for wiring an entire case. Legit Bottom Line: The Be Quiet! Pure Power L8 700 W certainly is a very good product, well made and offering excellent performance. If the re...

I assume you are using WMC to record OTA broadcasts. If not then have you tried XBMC as the frontend?

Care to elaborate? Maybe we can come up with an answer. What are you using as your frontend media center?Now if only we could get rid of DRM in windows...

I'm telling you that it's probably a bug in HWiNFO. Sometimes it shows my core temps at 0 degrees. Grab another app and see if they say the same thing.

Re: DVD Ripping suggestions
This program is new and costs money and I also can't comment on how well it works. I used to use their app ConvertXToDVD because it just worked and faster than anything I was using before it. Now with the advent of everything having a decoder chipset DVDs aren't really that appealing. Check out the ...

Re: Buying Decision Help (Z68->Z77)
Well I ordered the ASUS. The last ASUS board I had was a P4P800 so it's time to give ASUS another go. I was looking at the NZXT Kraken to replace the Asetek unit that came with the build and ended up getting a Phanteks PH-TC14PE instead. When I leave the house I turn off my computer out of some irra...

Re: Corsair Vengeance K95 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review
Thanks for the responses. I would really need to play with the keys for a few minutes before I could make a decision. I bought my current keyboard without playing with it and I have disliked it since I hooked it up to my computer (Razer Lycosa). Micro Center is also a good recommendation. Too bad it...

Buying Decision Help (Z68->Z77)
I won an awesome rig on LR last year. Thank you again. The computer shipped with an Intel branded board and features a lot of cool stuff. The problem I have with it is the overclocking section and options are completely broken. At stock the board is stable as a rock but paired with an i7 2600K it's ...

Are there any places where you can go peck at a mechanical keyboard other than a Fry's? I have a very basic understanding of the differences between black, blue, brown, red, etc... but I have yet to try one. I'd head to a Fry's but not if I can find an alternative closer to home. https://maps.google...

Re: Benchies with Kingston V300 120GB SSD
People dog Windows 8 because of the cosmetic issues. The stuff they did under the hood is what I like and I think it worth the purchase. I haven't bought Windows 8 yet but I plan on it once 8.1 comes out. Doesn't hurt either that my little sister is in law school at UH and they get awesome prices fo...

Re: Benchies with Kingston V300 120GB SSD
ATTO is what all the manufacturers seem to use since it shows the fast and most generic results. Since ATTO reported that you are running roughly 500MB/s for read and write you are maxing out the SATA III port. Like FZ1 said too that since it's your OS drive there is overhead from Windows. Most if n...

Re: Benchies with Kingston V300 120GB SSD
Something isn't right with your setup. I'm running the same drive on a SATA II motherboard so I'm limited to a max of 250MBs read and write. http://img.techpowerup.org/130930/CDM-V300-SATA2.png Since you cloned from a drive to an SSD you might need to do a 4K alignment. Download AS SSD but don't run...
