I'm sure there were other factors too, but that bill was definitely a shocker (granted it was less than $100 still...

Hi all! Just chiming in here, I am installing the new client (first time in a while folding as you could tell) and noticed it is WAY different that it always used to be, it's actually functional! the only reason i'm really even folding is because my heat doesn't get turned on until Oct 15 (d...

Re: Ladies and Gents

Question is: How long is that hard drive going to last and do you trust it. Sounds like you are putting a lot of time and effort into it? Is it worth it? if it dies then work will buy another one, and I'll reinstall at work on the clock 8) the other option was using a 7200rpm 160G seagate drive, wh...

Re: How to fix the budget deficit!

Well until the number of losers asking for handouts overtakes the amount of people wanting to actually work and make something of themselves, then people might wake up and see I was right to take a hard stand on welfare :) we're only 1% away, and at the rate we're going it will be before the end of...

Re: Ladies and Gents

why did you start out using CDM 3.0.1 and then switch to CDM 2.2. I don't think the scores are comparable. Also, keep in mind the original firmware didn't support TRIM and Samsung later released TRIM supporting firmware. So you are seeing the impact that TRIM has on drives as well to keep them runn...

this is why you need to keep your OS clean and run transfer speed benchmarks every so often: I got a laptop from work, and it has an i5 2.4, 4GB RAM, and was running slower than ell when I got it, so i figured okay, might as well get an 8GB kit of faster RAM, so i proceeded to do all in my power to ...

Re: Core 2 Quad prices......

Core2 Quads are expensive because they are very powerful, even the 65nm C2Qs are still quite a bit more powerful than the Phenom II X4's clock for clock. i picked up my Q8400 for $130 shipped a few weeks ago and am very happy with it since it was very easy to overclock

a lot of C2Q's have temp sensor issues also, my old Q8300 would always show core #2 at 43C

Re: E8400 in an Optiplex 755 USFF?

if the cpu doesnt work in the board, all it will do is 'not' post, it shouldn't damage anything either way, just remember to clear cmos before you put in the 8400 and again if it doesnt work
