Re: 1060 or 780

1060 6gb would be better. From what i have read and seen the 3gb should be slightly better than the 780 but not a lot... here is one link - https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/770727-gtx-780-vs-gtx-1060/ - basically says like all the others, get he 6gb version. If you can cancel the 1060 or upgrade...

Re: Intel Core i7-8700K and Core i5-8400 Processor Review

My 3770k is getting long in the tooth! Would love to upgrade but have to replace cpu, mb and memory since I am on ddr3 yet. Also have to fight to get windows back on the new system....maybe....i have no idea how windows 10 pro handles new hardware. Would be nice if MS would get their heads out of th...

Re: Shakmods 24 pin extender voltage issues.

I would say yes, since it happened to you  Maybe they have a faulty machine that makes them, maybe it is a bad connection inside one of the holders, maybe one of the wires is not up to spec (maybe all of them if they used cheap wire). Unless someone with knowledge of the connectors and elec...

Re: Windows 10 password reset program

WOW, didnt think Offline NT would work any more - http://www.chntpw.com/download/ or one that has more on the disc - http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html - but it does. I would use the original link as it is all you should need. Encrypted files will be unreadable!!!!!! Most people do not...

You renamed and replaced the files specified after booting from the windows install disc?

I am looking for a free program to do it now but most cost now a days.

Re: Help! No LAN detected.

Look in device manager for anything under OTHER DEVICES and it will say UNKNOWN or something similar. Remove it. Reboot. See if it installs a driver correctly. Along with ccleaner also run malwarebytes or whatever spyware program you like the best. Boot into safe mode with networking and see if you ...

My lord what is up with the power use when overclocking? I could see some but this is just insane. Also For any load greater than 230 Watts we were told by ASUS that we should provide some active cooling to the boards VRM heatsink. First thing, most home users will not spend $200, or even near it to protect their $300 laptop ;) Trust me, I keep telling people to get backup as they lose hard drives with their pictures that cant be recovered and they still say no, it's not worth it. I love these little 2 drive setups thou...

Re: Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless SE Gaming Headset Review

Just turn off the screen saver, sleep and hibernate and have the monitor turn off after so many minutes. Should solve the problem. I have mine set this way because I leave it on 24/7, never sleep or hibernate.

Re: Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless SE Gaming Headset Review

I like my Void PRO RGB USB headset. I wish there was a way to flat out disable the RBG. For now I just set it to black, sadly when the screen saver runs it cycles colors. Will be so happy when the RGB crap goes away. Screen saver? I did not think anyone used them any more. I always set peoples syst...

I want it. Pittsburgh Steelers colors, nough said. Wish it worked on the PS3/4 :( I don't game on the computer much any more so all that money for a headset would be a waste for me. Kind of like the cost of driving wheels to play a couple games  Steelers emblem over the Corsair one would make...

Damn man, sorry the the truly awful day :( It is getting harder and harder for anything online to survive without some sort of big backing dollars. I would stay with Pascal too if I were Nvidia as it is a beast and nothing touches it, plus it is probably getting cheaper to produce as they can pump them out at a greater quantity. Maybe by next year prices will get better and they can release them at a decent price point. Although I don't buy hig...

Ouch. So drop the cards to a lower price point and sell a ton more to the budget gamers (me lol - well wait, I am cheap, not budget) because they do not command the price they are listed at, in my opinion. Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone else :finga:
