Re: Sneak Peek at Upcoming E8600 Article
My Intel E8400 and E8500 on water suck compared to that.... lol Very impressive cooling setup you have and very interesting results... 6GHz on a 45nm dual-core processor that costs $279!! i saw coolarer hit 5GHz on air cooling with a E0 stepping back in June, so I knew these suckers were going to b...

Re: XFX GeForce 9600GT XXX Edition Video Card Review
I have read many of your reviews, and generally find them very helpful. However, your conclusion to this one is strange. The 8800GT bested the 9600GT in every single test, sometimes by a good margin, and sometimes by a slim one, yet you conclude that the "best bang for the buck" is the 96...

Re: 4870x2 or xfire 4870
Powering 2 4870x2's isn't too much of an issue.. now powering 2 4870x2's @ 950MHz core 1100MHz memory will require a second PSU

Re: OK So the prices have dropped what to do?
Well.. it is also possible to run the "cheap" E8500 at 4.2GHz to 4.5GHz, figure that counts as a 4.35GHz to 4.65GHz 65nm Core 2 and that'd be a significant boost in performance. Considering how the processor now costs $183 from Intel, if you have the cash you could run that for 6 to 9 mont...

Re: removing and replacing capacitors
using a desoldering wick will help greatly with removing that component, otherwise you could potentially just rip it off IF there are no traces attached to it that are vital. As for soldering the new component, as mentioned above if it's in an area packed with surface mount components, I hope you've...

Gomeler is in the house!
Hey guys, I've typically been a one forum man(at XS) but I've begun branching out. I'm an overclocking addict, certified hardware destroyer, and hardware reviewer when I'm not strapping pots and soldering resistors to the gear. I prefer benching mid-range hardware but I'm looking to acquire some GTX...
