Re: nVidia Drivers - Out of Control

Last time I played with Nvidia was with their multi monitor set up on 2 470's. it was fast I give you that, but YIKES was it a complete nightmare to get Nvidia to register my full true resolution of 5760x1080 and not 5040x1050, which we all know a 1680x1050 res looks like crap on a 1920 x 1080 LCD m...

Re: Upgrading CPU, do I need to upgrade PSU?

if you can swing for a 650 or 750 (preferred) I would. you should be able to get away with a 500 with no overclocking and the basic system, but that PSU is pretty low of a PSU.

Re: Mozilla has released Firefox 4.0 beta 11

I have no idea what it even does, so i will say nope. Mozilla needs to fix the pausing, when I first bring up a new Firefox window it loads up then pauses for a second or two (unresponsive) then goes about its marry ole ways.

Re: dual channel

try other programs games etc. not necessarily benchmarks, and see how it handles itself. that will determine the real outcome of your memory situation.

Re: dual channel

your performance drop was from the drop in memory speed. the next question you need to ask is that little performance hit worth it?

Re: My computer (work in progress)

Thank you, I haven't really seen a chassis that looks good, most are a box with sharp edges. Lian LI, and Silverstone chassis are way out of my price range.....

My computer (work in progress)

This is a mod I been working off and on for a while now, I had to put it off for a while because of life kinda gotten in the way of things (as it always does from time to time). So I decided to pick up where I left off at. But before I went right into the modding I needed to make sure I was on the r...

Re: Battlefield 3 Teaser Video Released

I was rather shocked to see EA/Dice put out another Battlefield game so quickly. I just hope it does not turn into another Activision/Infinity Ward gaggle

Re: dual channel

the memory be off balanced running with three sticks. try it out and see how it works for you. 4 gigs of memory will give you a bit more breathing room on your windows tasks. just make sure the 2 1 gig sticks are paired up in dual channel mode.

Re: dual channel

performance wise no, with Windows operations depends on your applications. if you needing to purchase memory to make 4gig's it would be best to get 2 sticks of 1 gig set of 6400

Re: Intel’s new chip flaw a costly mistake

Errors or bad batches or problems happen to all manufacturers. It is how that manufacturer handles these defunct products is what makes 'em good, great or all fookered. I think Intel responded fairly fast to a growing problem they were having with a new chipset.
