DVI to VGA adapter

Post by skialampas »

I use Intel DG31PR mother board. Im plannin to replace nVidia 6600 PCI graphic card with 9500GT. 9500GT has only S-video and DVI outputs, but my Samsung SyncMaster740N monitor has only a VGA slot. will DVI to VGA adapter work here? Will the video output be gud?

Thanx in advance :)

I'd say that unless you buy a new monitor you're stuck with the adapter; however,I've used the same adapter with my old 8800GT to my 22" HD Widescreen and never had a complaint. Before you buy this new 9500GT make sure that your PSU can provide the necessary wattage for it as well as, providing this is one of those typical oversized cards, that it will fit within your case.

Most new cards come with this adapter so no need to buy one until you get the new card and see if one is in the box.

Will work just fine. You can have problems, with the picture quality, with bigger monitors than yours. So, no worries. :)
