blue tooth

Post by Merlin »

Just wondering how you get blue tooth keyboard and mouse. My wife bought a Dell laptop a few years ago and she ordered it with blue tooth. I have not seen any add one cards that would add that feature nor have I seen any MOBOs that have it. Am I just not looking or what??

I haven't seen any add on bluetooth card really. It's mainly been USB based adapters I've seen.

My motherboard does have an integrated Bluetooth receiver though :)

You have to make sure the Bluetooth software is installed. From there it's in the Control Panel under Hardware and Sound (assuming you're running Win 7). My motherboard came with an adapter and it's god awful slow transferring files. I don't know that a regular IR receiver would be better/faster response time compared with the Bluetooth accessories.

They are out there. If you want to add bluetooth just buy one of the USB adapters - http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory ... -Bluetooth

I bought a bluetooth one from some overseas site for under $2 or $3 one time and it worked just fine for what I needed. Built in is nice but you always have options.

cool thx. I may not do it but we have the keyboard and mouse she got and never uses for the laptop so I may use them on mine. May be more trouble than its worth.

I like the BT to hook up the portable devices to the computer/lappy ie phones mostly, and a couple of tablets.
