I plan to upgrade once I get my gtx 980 back from inno3d now that I got told its finally being repaired :) How does this build sound over my current build in terms of performance? Bare in mind my HX1050, GTX 980, OS SSD, Gaming HDD and HAF 932 Advanced will be carried over to this build.

Just for my curiousity - Why spend a ton of money on everything and then settle for an i5? Seems a bit strange that you go for everything high end except the cpu lol

Gotcha. I use mine for way more than just gaming so the i7 is my choice to help it last into the future a bit longer.

never heard of the memory manufacturer but everything seems pretty good to me. Again, I am partial to Gigabyte motherboards myself but have used MSI and they work great.

Gaming will be high end fun for you soon :partyman:

NZXT is my personal favourite for some time now and it will look nice with the red color scheem of the cooler and the case. I don't know this cooler though, so have no idea about it's performance.

Don't skimp on the cooling. You will regret it down the road. I am saying this because like sbohdan said, I do not know this cooler manufacturer either.

well ive done a little research and it seems the cooler brand had an issue last year with cracked coolers. but that has been sorted and my friend has the blue coolant in his and never had a problem. his temp are fantastic while he runs an i5 4670k @ 4.8ghz 1.35v 62c max load during 3dmark skydiver physics test. no crack in his cooler yet and its been 12 months just over :)

Sounds awesome then!

Can that cooler be extended to the video cards also? Since the majority of work will be done by them I figure they will generate a lot of heat too.

Or wait, only one video card I see...sorry, same question though as it would be nice to water cool that also.

it was designed to be modded if you want to. the company encourage it. I may be doing that once I get my gtx 980 back at some point :)

Nothing wrong with your proposed build.

Avexir memory isn't as well known, because it's in pretty limited quantities and not one of the big name ones, but there's nothing wrong with it. I'd love to get some for my main system, but they don't have red in Raiden :P
