AOC G2460VQ6 Dying?

Post by DJ Tucker »

So my lcd as stated in the title maybe dying. had it a month and randomly it has started to make a several loud click sounds for a minute or so then stop. randomly will start again at any random time within the next 15-30 minutes. what occurs with the clicking is the monitor checkboards or blacks out then comes back on without even powering itself off otherwise just makes a loud click noise with no picture issues. what could be causing this?

the monitor dying.

lol

ok, check the cables and if possible try it on a different computer. Also hook your computer to a different monitor/tv to check and make sure it is not the computer or video card.

clicking noise sounds like a power issue that had on a Samsung monitor. The checkering sounds like a driver issue I had with an AMD APU.

I'd hit up the manufacturer see what they say, under a year should be able to RMA it.

well after testing the monitor on another pc I had the same issue. I then decided to try a hdmi cable instead of the display port I was using and that worked great. after checking the display port cable I turn out I had a bent head. tried another display port cable and all works fine at last. I now need to contact aoc to cancel the return now.
