This is happening every 2 or 3 weeks.
Locks up usually while online with FF!

Dunno what FF is but make sure your video card is not overheating. Looks like the same screen I had when I had problems with my old 660gtx (or 560 dunno one of them)

Uninstall and reinstall video drivers.

Does it lock up the computer? My monitor goes to sleep and once in a while comes up with just all snow. I turn it off and back on again and its fine...just the monitor, not the computer.

Think he may mean FireFox. This texture puzzle means you could have a gpu with bulging or even a blown capacitor on the gpu so check the gpu for that. I have seen many issues with memory causing the same issues your having, so try memory diagnostic tool last resort could be cpu memory controller. This would mean your cpu is on its way out but hope this isn't the issue.

Yes, the computer does a hard lockup! I reset and its fine!
Yes, FF is FireFox!
Here's the specs.....
AMD A-10 7870K
ASUS CrossBlade Ranger(onboard Radeon R7 video)
Gskil 16GB
Mushkin 240GB SSD
Hauppage HVR-2250
Win 7 Home Premium

I havent had time to look at it yet! One day this week!
It usually sits idle with occasional use.
To me it seems out of the blue when this happens!
Could be heat related!?!
But after an immediate reboot it seems to be fine!

Had this happen with both A6 and A10 CPUs, I traced it down to graphics drivers. There would be something that would cause the driver to crash, in the process lock the machine up.

Started with slight glitches on one of the two monitors I had, the screen would blip snow for a few seconds, then be fine. As time went on it went from blips to full on lockup. Typically when I was running multiple tabs and streaming video...

Never really found a cure for it.

Wow, that sounds like that could be the issue!
This computer was something I built as a DVR(cord cutting)
Then my daughter decided she was moving out so I gave it to her, as long as I got it back if she didnt need it anymore! She bought a laptop!
And a couple weeks after I got it back it started whatever this is! So what went on while she had it, I dont know!
The multiple tabs/streaming video is a definite possibility!
I'm going to have to do some experimenting to see if I can get it to do it again!
With all that said,I believe the video drivers were updated fairly recently!?!
Its been running pretty good lately so I kind of forgot about it!

Thanx Bubba!
