Why alienware is so expensive

Post by Flux »

First off, they consider these systems to be custom built. Anything custom built is more expensive.

What they call, "The Alienware Difference"
1 Extreme performance
2 Cutting edge technology
3 Customizable and upgradable
4 First-Class Customer service

Lots of awards.
PCI-Express Graphics

That's why they think the computers should be more expensive.
Now, I don't know if it is worth it or not.
I would always build my own system if I had the money. It's cheaper too.
Go look at thier website for more reasons: http://www.alienware.com

Also, alienware will be the first company to release the new dual graphics cards from nVidia where they use two of the same GeForce 6800s on two 16x PCIe ports and conect in an SLI type thing similar to how the voodoo 2s worked. Click here for more info on the SLI feature. If i had the money I would buy one of there notebooks. If you want to go for even more money then Alienware or even VoodooPC, check out Falcon Northwest.
