The fan cables left something to be desired, with them being stranded wires, they just go every witch way. If they were flat cable or even had some heat shrink tubing to help keep things tidy would help tons on looks.
It should be which not witch.

I don't really get how does the panel come out from the device. Could you record a video or something?
Thanks

Where was the funky slide out video? Was it tension loaded, or do you just have to pull it out?

It pops out about a half inch, then you pull it out and flip it up. I've uploaded another vid to YouTube, should have the link here in a minute.

In my defense I mostly looked at the pics and only read a very little.

Here is the vid for the opening, this is much smoother when its in a case and not sliding around on a desk trying to open it one handed.

Cheers dude.

It's a shame it doesn't glide out on its own, that would have been cool.

Dan

PS. I caught it via your youtube account when you said you were uploading it and then never posted the link :P

Thanks for the videos bubba! That really cleared things out.
The panel looks really fragile though #-o

The panel itself is pretty sturdy; you're not going to transport this open (I'd hope) so the likelihood that it gets ripped off in transit is nil. The outer case looks and sounds flimsy sliding around on my desk, its mostly hollow. Once installed into a case drive cage it's just fine.

yeah well apparently you underestimate someone like me, I've knocked more doors off my cases. Stupid antec and plastic doors, they snap of so easily

If you have ripped off the front of a CD drive then you might have something to worry about, but if you move with it closed then your fine. Unless you have ripped the font of a CD drive off, but if you have done that then you need to step away from the PC :finga:
