"With DirectX 10 game titles like BioShock and World in Conflict already out the market knows just how good these DirectX 10 games look, but also how tough they are on modern systems. To prepare gamers for these ultra-intense, next-generation titles, NVIDIA today introduced a new graphics card that they hope will define the $199-$259 GPU segment: the GeForce 8800 GT."

I'm just waiting to see just how well the new ATi card will do in the upcoming weeks......... Guess it's time to break out the CC............. [-X

Now all I really need to know is what type of water blocks (hole spacing) will be required for this card, can't deal with those stock coolers don't you know.

there are those of us who actually are just looking for price-to-performance ratios. i compare the results to other nvidia cards, as thats what i am most familiar with. of course the companies inflate their numbers, thats what review sites are for. stick around cause i'm sure its only a matter of time before LR has an 8800GT to review :goodman:

Sounds like someone is biased! I've seen too many reviews that indicate the same results to even attempt to dispute it. I'm sure that some of the reviewers are objective. 8800GT FTW! :supz:

Everything I've read the past 2 days shows pretty much the samething, the GT trashing everything except the GTX. I wouldn't expect all the sites to report incorrect numbers, some show larger differance, some smaller, but they all show the GT as being faster.

If I had the ~$560 for two of these I'd buy em! =P~

See I just got a new X38 Chipset board, and have twin SyncMaster 226BW displays. This is about perfect for running 1680x1050. My current 8800GTS would be fine if I had just one display, and I was thinking about buying a second card to run the second monitor independently. :-k .... oh well! I don't have the money for just one.

I am drooling myself! I was thinking about trying to get the 320mb 8800, but why pay more for less performance!

If they are right and these cards hit the $200 mark or below, ATI will have a hard time keeping up!

Mike

SLI would be sweet too :)

review....review....review...review - did the chant help LR to get one of these bad boys?
