SLI works on Intel... NVIDIA just wont enable it in their drivers... Intel won't pay NVIDIA, so they don't enable it. I've seen it work at numerous trade shows, but sadly it's never become public, which is a shame. But, then again SLI does work on the Intel Skulltrail platform ;)

Cripes. You think the 7950GX2 will work on a Yorkfield? It's not conventional SLI, more like 1 card but it's still SLI. I wasn't planning on buying a new vid card just yet.

7950GX2 really isn't SLI... it's a single card that takes up one slot... It's all about that bridge chip that is on the board.

AMD has disappointed me this time around as the overall aspect of the Phenom chips were not phenominal for me

Hopefully with more time it'll get better.

Man, I really had my hopes up for AMD and Phenom... After waiting six months for Vista to hit the market to upgrade and then another year for Phenom because AMD couldn't get their act together, I am really let down. It's a shame they they got their platform together only to have their bread and butter not up to snuff...

From my understanding, the AMD Spider platform is suppose to consist of AMD Phenom processor, 790fx chipset, ant ATI 3800 series video card. In the test, the Spider configurations were not used. I this considered a fair review on the Spider Platform?

The title would be the AMD Phenom 9900 Processor Review :) Spider Platform is there because it's part of the spider platform. You'll see a review of the entire system in the coming weeks here on LR as Jason is working on that. Updated BIOS drivers have come out that drastically change performance, so in a sense this review is already dated.
