GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB Roundup - Albatron, eVGA and XFX

The NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB graphics card is by far one of the most popular cards on the market today. Today, we take a look at three identical cards from three very different companies to see which card is right for you once you have narrowed the search down to just a GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB. Read on to see how Albatron, EVGA and XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB video cards do!

The Albatron, EVGA and XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB video cards are all great cards that can play all the current games and overclock like no other. As you saw from the testing the different core clock, memory clock and shader clock frequencies vary from card to card and did impact performance. Higher clock frequencies did improve performance as the XFX card took the lead in nearly every single benchmark.

The XFX card has the best sticker on it... EVGA just went too big... One large sticker covers the entire card...

Since the plastic isn't flat the sticker that EVGA uses doesn't really stick in the curves...

It's tough to make out, so I got my g/f to pull the label back while I snapped a picture.

XFX uses a half sticker on the left side and right side, so they avoid this sticker issue.

Too bad you aren't closer. You could've stuck in my MSI card which is clocked @ 730 out of the box. I ran it up to 750 just to see if it could do it but after looking at these numbers, I might try pushing to 800 or better.

Nate, when you OC'd these, did you bump up the PCIE freq at all? I was having trouble getting near 785+ on mine but I bumped up the PCIE and I am running 795/1025/1980 without artifacts or crashes
