In the process of updating the LR test bench we had to re-benchmark all the coolers, so why not do a round up with the collected data? So, today we will show you how the LR stable of coolers stack up to one another. Read on to see how they stack up.

I picked the ZEROtherm NV-120 as the over-all winner in our little gatheing of coolers today. Its look is easy on the eyes, the finish combined with the LED fan makes it almost art. Those who have a window will be proud to show it off, and those who don’t will want a window so they can. Then there is the price, at around $45 it's $15 cheaper than the NH-U12P, and then the icing on the cake (so to speak): there’s a very good chance that your favorite online retailer carries it.

Great review (as ever), but I'm slightly saddened that you didn't borrow Brian's U120x to compare the rest of the coolers to (but mostly the Noctua).

Even though the NF-P12's (the Noctua fans) are awful colours, I have kitted my rig out with them as they are so quiet. I'm thinking about going ghetto mod on their ass(es) and scribbling all over them with a black permanent marker to hide the skin tone colour. If only Noctua had of just gone with all dark brown, then they wouldn't be so bad.

hmm i'm wondering what my Thermalright U-120X's temps would have been with that Q6600. good review though!

Hard to borrow stuff when it's in use and to be honest Brian has been so busy with work and his personal life (moving/girlfriend), which is why he no longer does the video card reviews.

if it wasnt so expensive to ship stuff, i'd send my U-120X out seeing how my pc is *cringe* going off to get serviced by a local PC repair place (out of commission for 3 months, nothing else i can do) and i made it easier for the PC people by putting the stock HSF on it in case they need to poke around.

I would really love to see how well the aluminum heat sinks would do if were to go all coper with them.

I had noticed the lack of Brian doing GPU reviews, but just presumed you were doing them as they were extra special cards.

Nice review as always. I was a bit sad to see that you did not include the ever popular Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro. I know its not recent, but I would love to see how it compares to the others.

from almost all reviews Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme was about 1-2C cooler than Noctua so probably the same would of occurred hear as well

I got Zalman's 9700NT and it keeps my E8400 right under 40C under full load at 3.6Ghz. It's not the best, but still pretty good!
