Futuremark 3DMark Vantage - The Gamers New Benchmark

3DMark Vantage is a gaming performance benchmark that is used to measure native DirectX 10 and multi-core CPU performance with large amounts of physics, AI and graphics on PC's running Microsoft Windows Vista with Service Pack 1. 3DMark Vantage shows the user where their gaming system performs at its peak or doesn't have the horsepower, and how to get the most performance possible out of their hardware for today's and tomorrow's games.

interesting read. i might run it if i go back to Vista but for now my rig isnt worth benching on it

Having had the reason for the benchmark pricing explained, I'm a little more forgiving of futuremark.

Someone should make a video of the benchmarks, as I won't be able to see them for quite some time :ANAL:

I downloaded it, ran the program, said I needed a code key. Got the key, tried to run the program, said it was an invalid key. So I guess the "free' version doesn't work ? And the bad thing, unlike the ones before it, it only runs once per code key per e-mail address....... and from what I read, you don't get to see what it's doing..... ? .......... wudup wit dat ?

usually, there is a counter at the code entry screen coming from 5->continue and you press continue when it is available and go into the program, or enter the code to purcase and whatnot

i was a bit surprised upon realizing that there wasn't any DX10.1 support, i thought that was one of the features before launch, or was it just DX10?

other than that, looks pretty good!
