This product is not available in June 2008 even though I was able to purchase it through Provantage.com and get a shipping notice dated 6/26/2008. Apparently Logitech is only not allowing this product to be sold anywhere and forcing consumers to purchase direct through their website. I called Logitech Consumer Sales and was told that the product won't be released for another 2 months despite what all of the June/July 2008 reviews are stating.

I shot off an e-mail to Logitech's PR office to get an answer on this. Hopefully, they will get back to me. All the documentation that I have (as well as conversations with the Logitech PR people) say the release date was to be late June '08. I hope to get a hint of which distributors will be carrying the Pure-Fi.

Just got this from Logitech's Public Relations Manager:
Hi,
Right now it is only available via Logitech.com and I don't have any specifics I can share about future distributors.
There you go!

I previously signed up on Logitech's website to be notified as soon as the Pure-Fi was available and never got an email notification. I'm kinda bummed out about it. I don't even know when it finally became available as I got tired of manually checking and trusted in their email notification process to work as advertised. I'm now in the process of buying it through their website and have to overnight it so I can use it before the upcoming holiday weekend. I hope the ordering process and customer service is a better experience. ](*,)

Wow! I ordered directly from the manufacturer and ordered next day delivery. Twenty-four hours passed and I wasn't notified that it had been shipped or that there were any delays. I called the next morning (they don't offer 24 hour service and don't have an email contact form) only to discover that they were "sold out" and were currently on "back order". I don't understand how the manufacturer's website wasn't able to be updated to indicate that they were "out of stock" of the item that they personally manufacturer prior to me placing my order or how 24 hours can pass without them telling me. #-o

I also asked why I didn't receive an email notification as to when this product became available... I signed up to receive a notification on their website and trusted that I would be notified, especially since I receive numerous alerts from every other company I do business with online (woot, Jnr, amazon, dell, circuit city, costco, paypal.) I received my invoice from them... but no alert or "sorry... we no longer have this product in inventory" messages were ever received (and I manage a corporate mail server with fairly lax filters.)

I canceled my order outright as a result and will not be purchasing any Logitech products in the future. This is the second time that my online order was screwed up when ordering a Logitech product through a distributor or direct-to-manufacturer.

Their customer service is bad enough to at least mention it on the "Legit Bottom Line". Maybe others had a successful experience... unfortunately my personal experienced with Logitech sucked (twice). :vom:

Dude,

That sucks. There are now other places on the net who seem to be selling this product.

Admittedly, we have not dealt with customer service or have any experience with purchasing directly from Logitech, so it's good to hear legit feedback from readers.

(BTW, I've dealt with Mobile City Online more than a few times with no problem. They seem to have it in stock so I'd try them. Good luck!)
