Overall I feel that the ATI AIW HD is a great card for the casual gamer that is looking to upgrade their aging video card and would like to add HD content playback to their system. The bundled software is wonderful for anyone not planning to use Vista Media Center. For those discerning customers that are planning use with VMC in a HTPC environment you will need to take into account the compromises I mentioned above, as you’ll need to purchase a remote and may want to invest in a higher quality indoor antenna if you live in an apartment and aren’t getting great reception.

I'm glad to see the ATI All-In-Wonder back in action, but it is priced too high...

The VisionTek All-In-Wonder Radeon HD 3650 512MB Video Card is $169.99 after rebate at Newegg plus shipping and it includes the remote! Add in $8.97 for shipping and you are paying $178.96!

BUT...

Newegg has the VisionTek TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe HDTV Tuner PVR w/Remote for $74.99 after rebate and a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3650 512MB is $37.99 after rebate! Add in the $6.99 for shipping and you are looking at $119.97 to do it on your own, plus the TV Wonder 650 is a dual tuner!

For $58.99 less you get more in a sense and spend less money! The only reason you would need the All-In-Wonder card is if you only had one open slot and no PCI-Express x1 slot for the TV Wonder Card.

Just my 2 cents

Too bad they decided to go that route. You would think the total cost of making the board would be less than producing two boards.

Would be nice if they were using the HD4830 card as the base along with the the TV tuner. If anything they should have made it a half height card with the weak core they used.

Well, you've got to remember this card has been out for almost 4 months now and AIW development is much slower than that of your typical GPU.
