Nate was nice enough to post my review of the Albatron GeForce TC6200Q

nVidia’s goal with the Turbo Cache was to bring the latest generation of graphics to the entry level market. Using new PCI-Express technology nVidia attempts to make change the entry level market forever. Today we look at Albatron's TC6200Q and see how these sub $100 cards do in testing! You will be amazed at what this little card can do.

I think thats a great card for a budget system, they are available at a really good price point!
Overall a nice review too. I liked the explanation about how the "Turbo Cache" actually works, but I was kindof disappointed to see that there were no other cards benchmarked against the 6200. I guess you guys may not have any X300's or X600's or vanilla 6600's laying around, but it still would have been nice to see. Another thing that would have been interesting would be to test with less memory available (for the system and for the 6200). Use something like 2x256 and maybe even one stick of 256 just to see how much it affects the performance of the card without sufficient memory available for the "Turbo Cache" to draw from.

But still a good read

yeah, i would have liked to compair it with other card, but sadly all i had at the time was a X800XL and thast just not fair, i just got a X600XT the other day, just shy of making it into the article.

I was kinda shocked the other day and I shouldn't have been .But I never gave it a thought before. I was online gaming and a fellow player was online talking about how much faster he was with his new 6800 ultra.
I was a little amused he had a 9800pro befor. So I told him what he was saying isn't possiable unless he had also upgrade his connection speed and thats the only way he could see a differance in game speed.
Well he got mad and he and about 47 other guys said I was crazy (tell me something I don,t Know LOL) only 1 guy agreed with me thats 2 people out of 50 that are aware that in online gaming requires a gpu that well play the game and everyone well be equal at the same connection speed.
So don't you think that reviewers should also make the consumer aware that a brand new state of the art SLI or single GPU is not going to change there online experance other than eye candy can be maxed out.
As we all know the online gaming is exploding and reviewers seem to be giving out information that basicly applies to single game mode or lan parties.
I may be all wrong about this but I think not!! So I really think that all reviews should start out with these words .
IN online gaming there may be know benefits of upgrading to a new GPU for online gaming.
I know that this isn't the proper place for this comment but I thought sticking it in a sli thread was the best place .

What your saying makes sense only if the user is runing with in the acceptible limits of his/her hardware. If said user is runing a 9600 Pro in Doom3 at 1600x1200 set to high quality, yes they will see online game play slow to a crawl, but this is because the computer cannot render the informaiton coming from the network. Now if said user upgrades to a 6800 Ultra but keeps the same video configureation then yes they could see an improvement in online play as the frame rait can now keep up with network.

Now what your saying is not wrong, i just wanted to clear it up a little bit, what they were talking about in your game is totaly network dependent and has nothing to do with the video card like you said. but circumstances like the one i described to exist and is an example where your statement is not quite true.

There is a big difference between the actual play and the graphics end of it.

You will see beautiful scenes being rendered much more effectively, you can run at a higher resolution, you can run at a higher quality, all flawlessly if you have a good connection. Most games are fairly tolerable to speeds, IE CS will run perfectly fine with a ping of around 100. Now, even if you have this high end hardware, you can run into a connection bottleneck, but if you have any high speed internet, you dont have to worry about it. Graphics quality and lag are two different things.

Absolutly Eye candy full on I did say that Also if the cards well play the game it doesn,t matter other than what u guys mentioned i do enjoy playing with everthing as high as it well go my x800xt pe does great my 9700pro to play same speed has to be tuned down abit. thanks guys!!!
