Tagan A+ Curbic Mid Tower Case Review
The Curbic is the latest mid tower chassis from Tagan and is part of their A+ case line. The Curbic is an entry level mid tower, but you can't tell that with the sweet looking front mesh grill or side fan. Tagan designed this case to be friendly on the pocket book, but still packed with all the features you would expect in a top dollar case. Read on to see if the Tagan Curbic computer case can offer you want you want for under $60.
Overall, the Tagan found a nice balance of budget building practice, style, and features. The Curbic looks very nice with the mesh front panel and blue LED fans. The case was surprisingly quiet for running two 180mm fans. On high they are very much in the range of what would be considered livable for a desktop; with the fans on low it was very quiet. The Tagan Aplus Curbic is not yet available in the US, and has an estimated MSRP of $59.99 and should be available in retail stores before the holiday. The Curbic would be a very good fit for the user who wants an inexpensive, yet a nice looking, case.

A good mid line case. I'm going to have to get something bigger though. I have the uber platform crammed into a mid tower and I have just too many power cables from my Thermaltake PSU and no room to shove the extra cables anywhere.

is the backplate removable??it seems to be part of the case, and not allowing much variety in motherboards(like a DELL) though it does have the plug over some holes that are removable, but it doesn't look like it allows many USB ports or even ethernet how my back plate is set up

Yes it is removable. Its like the 5.25 bay spacers, you have to wiggle it free.

you say that you may have to lose the 5th hardrive slot in sli, but on cases ive used with drive bays like that you could slide the drive foward so that its almost touching the front of the case. could you not do that in this case?

Not the way the drive bay is set up. You could not use the drive rail locks, but there is nothing to lock the drive in place just the pressure from the cage.
If the card is short or power connectors are on the top of the card then you could be ok.

and it's usually the shorter cards that have it out the end, and the biggest have it on top(well, facing the bottom of the case)

Just curious, but does Tagan and CoolerMaster share parts and \ or designs? I ask because this case is an alomst complete copy of the 330 series.

Yeah I noticed that too! The toolless cdrom drive, hard drive holders are exactly the same that came with my case. Also, the front of my case is all mesh too. But personally I like my case better (cheaper too, it was free!
)

There are a lot of cases from many manufactures that share skeletons/parts, but majority of the time they are all different in some way.
