Yea, I was kinda confused about that for this "high end" rig

They obviously think that faster RAM lends to better performance than more ram.

I would imagine they tested it before they decided to go with the less but faster option.

Corsair did a 3GB vs 6GB test recently, and there wasn't a whole lot of performance difference between the two.
(But then again there isn't a whole lot of performance difference between 1600 Ram and 1800 Ram, so swings and roundabouts)

That does have a rediculous price tag. Looks like it performed as it should though, which is not something that always happens with those overpriced computers *cough*Mac*cough*

Same thing. It's three gigs short of being a true "Dream system". I mean- when you buy a rig at that price those extra bucks on six gig kit won't hurt that much.
