NEVER!!!! hahaha

What does it say on the edge of the PCB?
I think there are only two types of BP PCB's:
B6U808 and B6U815

Also check to see if it is shorter(not as tall) than other sticks (if you have anything to compare it with). The brainpower PCB's are not as tall.

a square box - inside says A ?????

Brainpower has a "bare" side with a single transistor thingy between each chip. yes?
normally says something like bu808 or something

This has a row of little transistors on both sides, just above the dimm contacts.

ie. not the same as this

That makes me cringe a little, to think that OCZ plats have JEDEC standard PCB's....I hope that doesn't happen to me when I purchase them, though I've not noticed any problems with the standard PCB's, but I've not overclocked memory before either, so I assume it could present a quality problem when overclocking those types, what do you guys think?

i think that everything for the last year has been on BP so not much danger of that.

I wouldn't worry

ALL reviews and everything i have read say this ram has 808 brainpower PCB's

As i said earlier, my sticks are "old"
I have them over a year now!

ocz were first with brainpower - still today the VX and GX series use brainpower :)

I guess I can accept that then, so my mem choice still remains: to take two 512 stick of OCZ EL platinum Rev. 2 and go dual-channel
