The Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz quad-core processor is a very fast and affordable desktop processor from the second you pull it out of the box. This Intel LGA 1366 processor runs at 3.33GHz when in Turbo Mode, has 8 MB of cache and has gobs of bandwidth thanks to the QuickPath Interconnect (QPI). Without a doubt, the Intel Core I7 950 was against some stiff competition today. It was a battle for the top spot among the sub-$300.00 processors today. When it comes to the overall performance, the Intel Core I7 950 did a great job! The numbers speak for themselves! The main competition for the Intel Core I7 950 would be the AMD Phenom II X6 processors. Through out testing today, the two sets of processors did a great job and it was a pretty fair competition. There were a few tests that the Intel Core I7 950 had a serious advantage over the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition...
