Couple things, and neither are about the product reviewed.

1) Holy crap how hard drive prices have shot through the roof. Yesterday I get a call that a family member's PC was "broke". Went to check it out to find out the hard drive was throwing errors all over the place. I went to the local Best Buy to pick up a hard drive. If they had a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter I would've picked up a cheaper laptop drive. I ended up paying $90 for a 500GB WD Caviar Green, $90! But, when I got home Newegg is selling the bare drive for only $130!

2) SATA ports are more abundant than USB 3.0 ports, right now. And most PC manufacturers are finally running their builds in AHCI mode. I know it's an extra cable but eSATA waxes the floor with USB anything.
