Neat cooler but at it's current pricing I don't see it selling well. If CM were to knock the price down $20 then I'd say they have a real winner here.

Maybe after it's in stock the price will be lowered... I'd love to see how it would perform with a second fan.

Another less than mediocre CPU cooler - I mean the performance is just pathetic. Why even bother to bring something like that for production? [-X

Nice review BTW. At least we know what NOT to buy

Makes you wonder what designs that they come up with and never bring to market.

At stock the TPC 812 wasn't that horrible, 2-3 degrees off the NH-D14, and was only using one fan. Still pretty respectable overclocked, only 5 degrees off the NH-D14. I have had people ask me for dual fan numbers. Might put it back on the bench when I get caught up with other stuff, but I have done two reviews since the TPC 812 and got a couple more on deck. The sicking point is the price, little lower it would be a better deal.

Think that the coolers have come as far as they can with the way they are being made. Thus why I think Cooler Master took a stab at adding vapor chambers. Can't say with 100% certainty the vapor chambers did anything, but for a single fan cooler the TPC 812 did pretty good, considering just about every other cooler in the chart outside the CNPS11x Peforma and Coolink Corator DS runs 2 or 3 fans.

Hell there are air coolers now running in the ranges of what water cooling used to do couple years ago, even now nipping at the heels of basic water cooling. Case in point the NH-D14 SE2011 being with 5 degrees of the Swiftech kit.

I remember results in LGA1366 i7-920 charts having a 15 degree gap between first and last place for aftermarket air coolers. With the stuff I now have in the charts just the air coolers have a 7 degree gap between first and last place.

Now, that would be a fun review!
Just taking all the failed designs and show them. They could compete for different awards, like: The most pathetic editor's choice award, The ugliest ever cooler award, The hottest cooler award etc. :finga:

Jokes aside - Bubba, it would be fair to see some numbers with 2 fans, although I doubt a second fan would make that much difference.
