If you are looking for a fast microSD card the SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I memory card series should be on your short list. With 95MB/s read and 90MB/s write speeds you will get mind numbing transfer speeds from a memory card that fits on the tip of your finger. The size, storage capacity, and speed that you can get from this memory card form factor is very impressive.

LOL at the Bottom Line (mack daddy). Nice card and I was getting my hopes up seeing as I'm due for a phone upgrade in October. Then I saw the prices and realized that Class 10 will do me just fine.

You know I said mack daddy to someone the other day when describing something and they busted up as well. I was like hell, I used to say that a decade ago. I left saying I'd use it in my next review ;)

Thanks for the review. I was worried this wouldn't hold up to the UHS-1 standard, but it sure looks like they do well. And thanks for the heads up on the issue with that card reader you tried, as well as suggesting the GoLite. :)

My pleasure! The Kingston MobileLite G3 USB 3.0 works great. I also just today got in the SanDisk ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Reader/Writer and it works perfectly as well.

I must have gotten an early version of the uhs-i because my Sandisk Extreme Pro only says 45mb/s.

I use it in my Canon t3i and i am not super impressed. I thought I would be able to really snap off some RAW shots but it still bogs down after just a few. It does transfer to the computer a lot faster but without the ability to write to the card at a super fast speed, i feel as though I wasted money.

Most devices hardly get the use of a Class 4 for normal operations so going with the expensive cards like the uhs-i should only be needed if you transfer a lot of data constantly or for a device such as a DSLR or HD video camcorder.

Doesn't your camera buffer images to write to the card? Seems like I read that somewhere and it does that to help cope with slower cards. I'm sure if you look around you can probably find a custom firmware that will help.
