We take this custom cooled and factory video card by EVGA and put it to the test! We haven't been impressed by an add-in board partners card in some time, but that quickly changed after we spent some time with the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked with ACX Cooling video card (part number 03G-P4-2784-KR). What you get for an extra $10 over the cost of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 reference design is downright amazing. You get a video card that performs right around 9% faster than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 with stock speeds and is faster than NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan video card more often than not.

Actually I bought one of these.
If someone with an "old machine" like mine* its wondering it performed 26677 vs. 27455 (maximus 5 gene i5-3570k@4,6) in 3dmark vantage, only gpu scores.
I'll run some tests under 3dm2013, and little oc once the waterblock arrives! When you see the huge improvement you can obtain with little OC you understand why nvidia capped voltage and power increase over kepler.

After all Its truly an improvement over my old 295gtx, which btw it still able to max out some games. RIP.

The bundle sucks btw, no metro last night, no games... AMD bundles over 4 games in 7970 and similar, but...

Sad isn't it? I remember when you bought a video card and it might last a year, definitely not the case now. Here's to hoping the new consoles bring more demanding games.

@Major_A: IMHO its all because of consoles. Nothing else. Now we will ramp up again for 2-3 years, maybe less, to catch up consoles given all are actually HTPC with a great case . GDDR5 of PS4 looks like a shot, but DDR4 its around the corner. Time will tell.
I hate being stuck with console-RAM-size scenarios!!

These are my first test with my GTX780, i got luck 79,7 ASIC. First place with a i7-920!


Overclocking these its tricky, the gpu don't seem to follow the target freq you put unless they are around 60-65ºC. If the temp its quite below (with WC it is) they jump up almost 200Mhz! (Mine its running 1241Mhz all the time) I can't get stable overclocks because I don't actually know the real freq. Voltage is being an issue too, because its not applied with low temps, So I can't get stable post 1241Mhz (+120 for me). I'm rather confused. I read about the GPU boost and all that stuff when 680 came out, but didn't know was so complicated.

I can get +160 under 3dvantage or furmark, but not on valley (+121) or 3dm2013 (+121). DX11 issue maybe?

Same loop GTX295 vs. GTx780 the last one don't get above 40ºC. 295 used to go up to 70ºC but we didn't have that power limitation (I reached 748Mhz with it). This is very frustrating.
